I always liked Ken.

Ken is super likable. He has all the cool parts of being an ad men without being dead inside like Don, Pete, or even Roger.

That said, Don is still extremely cool. Being broody is sexy when you look like that.

I'm on the last season and the whole show is just talking and people being terrible to each other.

In the second to last episode the bad-guy aliens show up and there is a hella epic battle. Don and Roger pilot mech suits while Joan shoots laser beams out of her tits. It's a really long buildup, but trust me, it will all make sense soon.

Pete is talking about hunting like this because he thinks it's manly and he wants to be seen as strong and powerful. His parents don't like him and he feels emasculated by his job and wife. Peggy is the only person who has ever treated him as anything other than a pathetic twerp so he shares this fantasy with her. The fact that Pete went hunting with his uncle is significant too; he must see him as a masculine role-model that he didn't have at home.
