Chile
Yes, unfortunately.

only chinks use them...Malay and indian usually drives sedan

There are more crossovers here than any other type of vehicle, by a long shot. Wake me up.
The car scene and market basically doesn't exist either, cheapest RWD car in the market is a 150,000brl base trim BMW.

Yes, especially the Tucson and Sportage. But its mainly because of our ridiculous 200%+ VAT on imported vehicles, you basically but the car 2-3 times, one for yourself, one for the government, lots of change for their maintenance and luxury.

buy* the car

And they're set to triple. Islamists in government don't have functioning prefrontal cortices

...

>I could buy this Civic hatchback
>or I could buy this slightly lifted Civic hatchback that is heavier, less agile, more expensive, uglier, less efficient, has an extra 2 cubic feet of cargo volume I'll probably never need, and has zero other positive traits
What the flying FUCK is wrong with crossover buyers? You can tell how stupid they are just by how little effort automakers put in to making them.

pickup are fucking ugly, it's hard to find a good looking one

ftfy

Very. BMW and Audi crossover drivers are also consistently the absolute worst drivers on the road. On three separate occasions just tonight I was almost hit by cunts driving X5s. Ironically BMW and Mercedes sedan drivers are usually polite. It seems like after those brands started building crossovers and SUVs all the douches that drove their sedans moved to them. 90% of the people I see driving crossovers here are women who have no fucking idea how to drive on top of that. I am terrified for the day when BMW starts making pickup trucks.

I thankfully managed to land the only fucking woman, apparently in my entire state that hates crossovers though.

Yeah.
Can't wait for cars to be banned

Chile
No

I really don't get the appeal of crossovers, they're just shittier SUVs.

When he/she can't afford a proper luxury SUV and you convince the idiot consumer a raised car with similar components everywhere is actually good

I fucking wish crossovers were raised cars, that would be fucking tight. Instead we get disgusting SUV styling and handling.

Same, if I ever make it financially, nothing but prehistoric body-on-frame for an SUV

Actually I am the reverse, I thought you were a purist who wanted traditional SUVs

For me its a diesel motor, manual and 90's early 00's land cruiser/patrol. Would be a nice learning experience too

>I thought you were a purist who wanted traditional SUVs

Oh no, I despise those awful things. That said, I have a much greater dislike for all these flimsy toys and oversized luxury cuckboxes that are passed off as SUVs these days.

the car is named crossovers?
because my favorite crossover is the one were johnny bravo meet the gang of scooby doo

Market appeal, the people that have the money and interest aren't the same, especially after the escalade. The G-wagen is slowly going that route, QX80 and LX570 already there.

FIrst time in a while the understated look of the Yukon Denali is preferable

Same where I live. It's always a woman driving either an Audi crossover or an Escalade

That's ridiculous, it's not like Sudan is growing its own homegrown automobile industry anytime soon, or car sales have to be restricted because of other reasons like Singapore.

Pure theft, also imported dollar evaluation will change from 6.8 to 18 Sudanese Pounds, meaning everything we import, which is everything, will triple

A former medical friend has refused to talk to me for 6 years because I laughed at him when he said this is the bedrock of the economy

Basically at some point every vehicle from accent to landcruiser will go from 2 to possibly 5 times its international/Arabian price

For what purpose? Just so people in the government can spend that money on themselves?

Yes, unironically and without the slightest exaggeration

In 2015 the new generation hilux arrived and parliamentary members complained that their complementary vehicles were outdated and needed replacement.

They let their drivers leave the AC on outside the assembly to ensure a quick getaway, before this over 3000 constitutional 'officials' were assigned free Land Cruiser Prados

Sudan is effectively a police state with corrupt retarded people stealing everything. They are too stupid to realize they're strangulating their own economy to oblivion.

>3000 Government officials get free $35,000 personal vehicles in a country where the average income is $3,000 per year

That would be like each of our state senators being assigned a Bentley Bentayga. That's beyond fucked. They can buy their own shit.

That really sucks, it is that kind of shit that keeps African countries poor. We are nowhere that level but still there's a ton of small tariffs and taxes that don't feel really logical but just a way to milk money out of people.

Also, you helped me with my HS thing a while back I think, I went to the dermatologist and gave me zinc supplements and some cream for acne. It's going a bit better now. Thanks.

>$35,000 personal vehicles
If only user, if only. there given according to local market prices so that's easily 50-70,000.

>They can buy their own shit.
Oh it gets worse. I have to pay to travel, we even had an exit visa (!) from the country, and a stupid meaningless card for people who didn't complete national service, you spend the whole morning to get both. The visa was revoked

If I pray or perform ablutions in some areas in the city centre, I have to pay tax. If I bring in a TV above 17 inches, I pay the equivalent of 17 USD for every inch above it, ridiculous. There are taxes on bread, gasoline prices are sky high since 5ever, internet is more expensive here than even Qatar and the UAE, electricity is one of the highest in the continent

The entire country is basically hostage citizens being shook down by the government for everything, the majority of the national budget goes to Police, intelligence and military because of this

Great to hear, and thank you for your concern
>It's going a bit better now.

Damn, for 70.000 you can buy a top tier Mercedes here and not a shitty Land Cruiser.

Not that any of this matters to the average 3000$-a-year Sudanese. Still bad. You should import those 2000$ chinese "cars" (at least they move).

>easily 50-70,000 for a fucking Prado
>having to buy exit visa from your own country
>having to pay per inch of screen
>having to pay tax on staple foods

That's like Soviet level overregulation coupled with Scandinavia tier tax gouging

These are everywhere.

At least this country prefers Mazda over Korean/American garbage.

Imported in droves but they're still inaccessible

It still somehow gets worse. All public transport is privately owned.

When a citizen's initiative for a private institution for transport appeared the Khartoum State Mayor pounced, made it public and started importing countless junk buses, from Saudia and even all the way from Malta, for massive profit per bus. They're still so useless we depend on old private Mitsu Rosa buses. And even then they're squeezing them hard for replacement parts to profit

What's worse is that the Mayor above embezzled a whopping 90 million US Dollars eq. back then, even started his own firm with 10 mil of capital

He was told to pay back 1.7 mil from the grand total, charges dropped, back in business, a principle in Islamic jurisprudence called 'tahullul' or 'absolution (of guilt)'

We're not allowed to organize and collect garbage, just pay taxes. Massive taxes on water, they couldn't install meters to monitor usage

Better not derail the thread though, I thought this was the collapse one

I like some of our crossovers.

That's a full size SUV.

It's technically a crossover. It's not body on frame and is derived from the same car based platform that underpins the Dodge Charger and previous generation Mercedes E-Class.

It can also crush the spirit of pony/porsche/amgfags

Very, we've always been an estate car country but it's tending towards crossovers now.

Our best selling cars of 2017

>More people are buying these S60s on stilts than the based V90

looks snazzy but I always had a thing for lifted wagons

>B-but it has to be big to protect muh chilluns
I'm convinced many of these women would buy a Churchill VII if they could.

yeah
