I would love this show if it was interesting or written well. It just subverts the river dale we know and love and the gimmick gets boring.

That's fair. It's simplistic, painfully so at times, but I also think it hits the right notes.

It's a fun way to reminisce about my own times in high school. I don't take it too seriously, and don't give a shit about the relationship drama or comic references.

Also my gf really likes it, and it's very tolerable so I'll take it over some of the other crap she likes.

My gf also likes this show, which is why I watched it, but it was fun some times but others it was just ok.

It's high art compared to Keeping Up with the Kardashians and the Bachelorette/Bachelor which is her usual fare, this actually holds my interest and doesn't outright insult my intelligence.

They should do special episodes where they adapt alternate-universe stories like Afterlife or the gender-switch one.

The show does have some DC advertising (Rebirth posters on Archie's wall), but that'll be down to it being a Warners channel.
