is this accurate? (burgerland)
The % of their salary is a bit misleading. If they don't make above minimum wage through tips their employer is required to pay the difference. Restaurants are not immune from the minimum wage law.
I think you'll find that tipping has done more to redpill those in the food industry about blacks than anything else. Blacks don't tip.
Mostly.
There is no reason to tip for "restaurant takeout" and I have never met anyone who does this. 35% seems disgustingly inflated.
Similarly, I see no reason to tip a barista, but it woudn't surprise me if people actually gave a tip.
The bartender thing is right, and it's why I don't go to bars. Paying $10 for a thimble of alcohol and then being expected to pay a tip on top of that is repulsive.
I see the supposed rationale behind it (giving servers an incentive to provide excellent service rather than just okay service), but that should be the employer's job, or at least the price of my food should be adjusted to compensate. A server's job is just to be a middleman between my table and the kitchen. I don't need them, I can pick up my own food and get my own refills. It would make more sense to tip the chef so he has an incentive to make better-tasting food.
It's the employer's job to pay their employees proper, legal wages. Also I have functioning legs, I'm already doing these leeches a favor by not getting up and serving myself like I'd do anywhere else.
>tfw no tipping ever is pretty common in NZ
>tfw they dont even care when you dont
I think we can all agree if you take up one of your waiter's time significantly and yet don't tip appropriately if at all you're a fucking degenerate that needs to be burned on a cross.
Regardless of your 'moral/logical' outlook on the situation, it is what it is, especially for the waiter.
It is quite literally nigger-tier as they barely tip if at all.
>tipping a taxi driver
Americlaps will defend this
Tipping was literally started because people wanted preferential treatment. it caught on because service staff would do a worse job for people who didnt tip. now its just expected.
