I went there when I was like 13. Really nice place, the culture was quite nice and people were proud of their heritage. Livingstone was kinda boring and Antigua was a really cool place. Its way better than Mexico. Pollo Campero was top tier too.

mexico is lame, just the same kind of american-oriented stuff. Like overly luxurious resorts with big pools, golf courses and boufettes. That shit is incredibly boring and I don't get how someone can stay there for more than a week. And also everything is artificial, Mexico is just as violent as Guatemala, but hides it with those overly, I don't know, fancy places. I don't know, It's just my opinion. And with the murderous part, all those central american countries are like that( maybe excepting Costa Rica and Panama), so you just gotta deal with it if you wanna have the experience.
