What is your dog's name, /balk/?

Karaman. Was already named when I got him as a puppy. Apparently its a city in Turkey?

SPBP

Kahraman means hero in Persian

My doggo is named Bat Bayan
has a big bat

Karaman obviously means BLACK MAN

Has BG landcucked SRB in the 11th century or is it just wrongly colored?

That would make sense since the word kara comes from mongolian and bulgarians originate from a central asian tribe

anaximander

Look at a geographic map, thats how the mountains are there.
Also there is literally 1 port in that area, and it was an italian port, so its not valuable as a coast. Drop the video game logic, you need very specific conditions to have a port city, not just water access.

Probably wrongly coloured because it looks like it circled Serbia all around.

fucking satangarians reeeee

probably serbia was a vassal at that point. look at the HRE and hungary

It shows that Serbia was a dependency of Bulgaria at the time. Other maps just paint it over, that one gives it autonomy.

Based,

I dont think vassals were a thing back then

ofc they were

Ah, makes sense desu.

>I dont think vassals were a thing back then
man you are brain dead

That map shows big discrepancies to the one I posted, not only for BG but in terms of basically everything. Probably its not the same timeline.

It hurts, boys.

A vassal state is any state that is subordinate to another. The vassal in these cases is the ruler, rather than the state itself. Being a vassal most commonly implies providing military assistance to the dominant state when requested to do so; it sometimes implies paying tribute, but a state which does so is better described as a tributary state. In simpler terms the vassal state would have to provide military power to the dominant state. Today, more common terms are puppet state, protectorate, client state, or associated state.

>Having military conflicts with your vassal state
>Calling it vassal state

The first notable vassal state was Wallachia to the Ottomans

flagfag you're retarded

>Playing vid*agames

EUflag, how bored does your office becomes at times so you start posting historic autism

yea i see the shitepedia article, maybe qute china as well

What the fuck are you talking about.
Even here on the Balkans, Serbia was a vassal to the Ottomans BEFORE they got done conquering here and before Wallachia was in the conflict.
A very common tactic was to conquer land, and instead of annexing it, just put your brother/son/general on the throne. It still remains independent, but your guy is in charge. For example thats how our TRI MORETA map is made, putting bulgarian puppets in what are modern day Albania and Thessaloniki. They were never annexed, we never had an actual Bulgaria there, they were vassal states that our nationalists pretend were annexed.

Vassalage was very, very common.

This. Grow up.

>However, the Coroner Patriarch Angeliki Tsiola, who carried out the morphology on two bodies, yesterday, estimated that there will be findings from the results of the toxicology tests.
> the Coroner Patriarch Angeliki Tsiola

A lot actually. Year-end pressure is over so now its pretty boring for some months.

11th century map I posted would relate only to this particular war, apparently Serbia became more or less Bulgaria, maybe that would explain the map as well.

After the defeat at Spercheios in 996 against the Byzantines, the Bulgarian Emperor Samuil turned his attention to the Serbian and Croatian principalities to the northwest where the Byzantine influence was very strong.[38] In 998 he invaded the Serbian principality of Duklja, which was ruled by Prince Jovan Vladimir. The Serbs were unable to resist the Bulgarian army, and Jovan Vladimir fled with his people in the Oblica mountain.[39] When Samuil arrived he left part of his army to bar the Serbs, and with the rest of his troops he besieged the coastal fortress of Ulcinj. To avoid further bloodshed the Bulgarians offered to allow Jovan Vladimir to surrender; he initially refused, but after it became clear that his nobles were ready to betray him, he surrendered to Samuil. Jovan Vladimir was exiled to Samuil's palaces in Prespa.[40][41] Then the Bulgarians seized Kotor and set off for Dubrovnik and Dalmatia.

While Jovan Vladimir was in Bulgarian captivity, one of the daughters of Samuil, Theodora Kosara, fell in love with the young Serbian Prince, and Samuil approved their marriage. Jovan Vladimir was allowed to return to his lands as a Bulgarian official, supervised by a trusted man of the Bulgarian Emperor, Dragomir.[42][43] However, in 1016 he was killed by the new Bulgarian Emperor Ivan Vladislav who was suspicious that Vladimir could be a potential candidate for the throne

XAXAAXAXAXAX it meant to say the Chief Coroner of Patras, but it has instead translated the city name into its literal meaning

That's good man, you get to relax a bit and clear up your mind

How to get EU flag?

Come to work for western company which is using proxies

a shame the ottomans couldnt be holded off, who knows what the Balkans would look like now

It was the fucking Genoa fleet that transported the first Ottoman army in Europe.

Probably the same because it's mostly just a bunch of Slavs and we know that Slavs are always going to Slav. Bulgarians and Romanians too if you count them among Slavs. Albanians are no better. I am sorry for the Greeks though.

How can three regional powers not hold off the asian hordes?

Byzantine Empire[edit]
Main article: Byzantine–Ottoman Wars

Conquest of Constantinople by Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror in 1453
After striking a blow to the weakened Byzantine Empire in 1356 (it is disputed that the year may have been 1358 due to a change in the Byzantine calendar), (see Suleyman Pasha) which provided it a basis for operations in Europe, the Ottoman Empire started its westward expansion into the European continent in the middle of the 14th century.

Constantinople fell in 1453 after the Battle of Varna and the Second Battle of Kosovo.

The remaining Greek states fell in 1461 (Despotate of the Morea and Empire of Trebizond) (see: Ottoman Greece).

Bulgarian Empire[edit]
Main article: Bulgarian–Ottoman Wars
In the latter half of the 14th century, the Ottoman Empire proceeded to advance north and west in the Balkans, completely subordinating Thrace and much of Macedonia after the Battle of Maritsa in 1371. Sofia fell in 1382, followed by the capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire Tarnovgrad in 1393, and the northwest remnants of the state after the Battle of Nicopolis in 1396.

Serbian Empire[edit]
Main article: Serbian-Ottoman Wars
A significant opponent was the young Serbian Empire, which was worn down by a series of campaigns, notably in the Battle of Kosovo in 1389, in which the leaders of both armies were killed, and which gained a central role in Serbian folklore as an epic battle and beginning of the end for Serbia. Much of Serbia fell to the Ottomans by 1459, the Kingdom of Hungary made a partial reconquest in 1480, but it fell again by 1499. Territories of Serbian Empire were divided between Ottoman Empire, Republic of Venice and Royal Hungary, with remaining territories being in some sort of a vassal status towards Hungary, until its own conquest.

>Turks don't fuck it all up
>they fuck it all up among themselves
heh, really makes you think

>hurrr the 50 000 bulgars mixed among the millions of your slavs means you're not slav :^)))))))))

kill yourself honestly

>50.000
That many? Imo rather 20.000

this actually shows that Serbia+Makedonia is Bulgaria
and Crna Gora + Bosna is Serbia
East Bulgaria is Greeks + Turks

I know you're meming but the bulgar numbers were negligible despite them being the rulling class.

Face it, bulgars were ASSIMILIATED over 1000 years ago
