I've been trying for the past decade.
I best I managed was about three months on eight hours and I was on the verge of falling asleep all the time, constantly irritable, completely unaware of my surroundings, delirious in general, etc.
I suspect I became vitamin B12 deficient in the past and doctors repeatedly misdiagnosed it as psychological conditions, so it went for many years untreated, which causes permanent damage. I started treating it myself about a month ago after I was sleeping 18 hours a day, couldn't move my hands properly, couldn't walk consistently, couldn't keep balance, etc. Those severe symptoms have receded, but it looks like fatigue without 12 hours sleep isn't going away, yet.
Eat.
Sleep.
Get fat.
Play garbage games.
