Why is it that Sup Forums gets so triggered by this page? Is this place filled with MRAs or something? It was a harmless joke.

(You)

Referencing stupid internet shit into your writing when it has nothing to do with the story is fucking retarded

It's not funny, simple. It has no real purpose.

No. Not at all.

But, how about we turn it around?

Let's say that instead of Bor, a character who had some, although not much exposure, we take Freya... not 100% similar as a female, but pretty much the closest thing we have... and portray her in this fashion?

Obviously not exactly the same, but similarly insulting and crass.

...

What does your mage have to do with this?

...

Powerful dialogue!

Because it's relevant to what I'm talking about, it's fucking stupid to make references because either people aren't enveloped in internet culture bullshit to get it or just end up looking at it with disgust as it ends up dating the writing tremendously and has nothing to do with the scenario of the plot
It's like meme referencing, it's either shit people don't get or shit people don't want to see

God, what happened to comics? How did Thor go from a badass Viking god of thunder to this shit?

It's an unfunny joke that makes very little sense within the context of the character and place

And to think a little before Whor we had the God Butcher Saga.

I'm honestly wondering what Bor could've said in that first panel that was more "gross" than "Whorespawn Slattern".

do sjws even find these things funny or like them? or is it as cringy to them as us whenever they mention stales memes or Sup Forums.

reminder that because you can be relied upon to make threads like these are exactly why writers put those pages in. your outrage is making their product well known and boosting their sales.

if you only talked about comics you liked and refused to even acknowledge the ones you don't like, there'd be more of what you like being written

Are they implying that girls can only have meaningful dialogue about their vaginas? That's hella misogynist

Which was also (beautifully-drawn) shite, but at least it didn't parody characters.

"Mewling quim"?

>your outrage is making their product well known and boosting their sales.

Well, that worked out fine, did it?

Actually, no, it doesn't work, because if a work is 'well known' to be garbage, that won't incite people to buy it.

Oh boy, here we go again. Another 500+ thread! Honestly Sup Forums is little different that those they mock, over sensitive little man-children who didn't amount ot much so they have to live in their little fantasy world of comic books.

It was to be expected that they react negatively when women started to get a foothold in their hobby. Their cries against SJWs/feminists just the growing pains of the industry growing up and away from them.

>boosting their sales
All who buy the comics because of the stupid controversy (instead of justly pirating them), say Aye.

...

>I Disagree with mainstream feminism.
>the Gender pay gap is a myth
>I do not support Israel's actions in the middle east and believe a two-state solution should be resolved.

That's also not fair. The point was poorly made, but 'not being able to talk straight about tampons' is a symptom of something greater: the inability to discuss young women's issues.

I personally always thought older women handled that, but apparently we males are now expected to take time off from hunting, cutting wood and doing battle with rivaling tribes to discuss menstruation, body issues, insecurity and relationships.

I actually find it relatively funny, it's just out of place, it could work fine in a more appropriate comic.
I still thing the [Red pill M.R.A. meninist casual racism] is way too specific for this kind of joke though, but the [unsolicited opinion on Israel] is just hilarious.

This is bad though, it would have work fine with "but it can't stop you from being an asshole" or something like that. Again too specific.

>hunting, cutting wood and doing battle with rivaling tribes
Your resource-management RTS games do not count as hunting, cutting wood and doing battles.

Cos Sup Forums are mostly whiny fags. It's a dumb joke...plenty of those in comics. But because this place is so filled with prickly oversensitive little Nancy boys they keep bringing this shit up.

"Oh the sjws are ruining it all. They're taking over everything and now there's no comics left for boys! MOOOOOOM!"

Remember that if you're voting Trump you're literally Hitler.

THE FIEND.

>God Butcher Saga.

One of the most overrated comics story arcs in the past few years.

The reasons are twofold. For Thor fans it's stupid as fuck and somewhat disrespectful of the source material. These are historically serious characters, and even if you want to do something "fun" with them there are a multitude of far better ways than making them lazily spout quirky pop culture references.
The other reason, that's probably more damning but less known, is that the writer claims to HAVE actually written dialogue therein, only to censor it after the fact because it was "too mean" or something to that effect. She was literally afraid that her strawman villain would be to triggering to her audience and felt the need to dumb it down. That's just damn shoddy storytelling.
I don't even hate it, I'm a gargantuan Thorfag and found Queen of Hel downright hilarious. I'm even gonna storytime it someday. But that's why some people do. Which you were already fully aware of, of course.

Not really over-rated.

It's just something we were not used to in Thor comics in a long time.

Meme referencing is patrician senpai

Except we don't react negatively to female characters per se. Even strong ones (unless they are boring, like Captain Marvel). But if someone parodies a patriarchal character, then yes, we males call you on your shit.

I am a poorfag. So I only buy comics I really like.

>he industry growing up

That's debatable.

>First time we see Tyr and Balder in the comics for fucking AGES
>They're meme spouting retards set to be knocked down by Angelia the dyke queen

This is fucking pathetic.

More like SJWs are making up scenarios that makes themselves the victim, and think that female super heroes never existed before they came along.

You think _____gate is an internet thing?

...

This is some fine quality shitpost, well done.
Was the Snyder-ism intentional?

I was being facetious.

It was a shitty comic, and pretentious as hell.

I have to agree with user that it was overrated. It was too long, the concept was not original and it was veering dangerously close to parody.

There will be a backlash someday. I wonder what form it will take.

Or perhaps it already did, with Angela appearing in GotG as if nothing happened.

Five Guys is a reference to the controversy of ZQ having sex with five men to get positive coverage of Depression Quest that led into Gamergate, saying it has nothing to do with it is denial

fuck man, genuinely sad Ms Marvel is the only good female marvel comic these days. Fuck it, we need marvel now if it'll get some of these characters written better.

...

Okay but it was actually pretty fitting in Loki

>It's a Sup Forums pretends to be Sup Forums episode

...God almighty.

>Angelia the dyke queen

...The sad realization this is literally true.

You know what surprises me? That nobody of the body image people has responded yet to the fact all gays at Marvel are attractive.

Why hasn't the ugly majority responded to all the blatant beautyism?

Lets be honest, the Sup Forumsacks who are voting for Trump would probably be Nazis

>growing up
far from it, they are acting as much as spoiled children as their counter parts.

She could at least know how to write her values in, I mean jesus the whole issue was blatant pandering for women who never lived in the 70s.

>It was to be expected that they react negatively when women started to get a foothold in their hobby.
Right. Because women are a monolith and they all uniformly like these changes. Not like there are plenty of women that were in the fandom already and think that this stuff is condescending. That's impossible.

...

Yeah, user, because I'm sure you're the one to go to in order to get a woman's view on things.

you're not looking at the big picture. discussion on Sup Forums spills out into tumblr, reddit, facebook, and twitter, is detected by google analytics and marketers, inspires fanart which itself gets posted around, all these things contribute to make the bad comics more relevant, more topical, and more likely to be picked up by uninvolved bystanders on the ever-growing fringe of conversation who want to see what all the fuss is about

Quiet, the progressives are speaking for you now, house bitch.

I love women who can actually stand up for logic than getting angry at men as a whole.

This is going to shock you to no end but there are women on Sup Forums

what are you, an objectivist?

Nice to see that horseshoe theory has finally started to spawn some copypasta.

Also:
>the growing pains of the industry growing up and away from them
>implying anything from this gaggle of emotionally stunted 20-something adult children in the industry is salient

That's the thing: Queen of Hel had so little impact on anything else whatsoever that there's not really anything to backlash against. It was wholly insignificant, didn't so much as scuff the status quo. At least Asgard's Assassin introduced the new Odinbabby. Here, even the big "let's depose Hela!" hook the very title promises lasts all of 3 pages.
Hence why I find it so peversely enjoyable. It's a self-contained petri dish of sheer stupidity, don't think too hard about it. Just sit back and laugh.

Captain Marvel's been pretty good.
Then again the writer's already changed and we're about to hit Civil War... yeah.

And just yesterday Arcade was killing kids left and right and was #1 on Zemo's hate list.

Objectively yes?

What the fuck?

It's fighting stereotypes! Or something.

If I didn't know better I would think this was from some online comic strip. I'm at a loss at how Marvel could publish this, even if it were for children.

I wish the shitposting zeitgeist would make up its mind if we're supposed to be tumblr or mras.

Dames are dumb.

I know, I don't know who to be any more!

Whatever gets them (you)s.

whynotboth.jpeg

give this Woman a job despite being underqualified! we can't deny her because women will use their vag card.

you're mad user! it can't be done!

I had actually seen the fanedit before this original
So now every time I open one of these I keep thinking it will be the edit and end up disappointed every time.

Yeah.
Tumblr has MRAs.
I've seen the porn accounts.

>we can't deny her because women will use their vag card.
I thought those came in cans or plastic cases.

That explains this:

How is it funny?

What does female superheroes have to do with racism?
Like even if female superheroes were equal to their male counterparts, that wouldn't solve racism.

You just don't get it. Things, are, like, totally bad, and junk and stuff like that.

More like to resemble daddies credit card.

It's not about that, all they want is to be the center of attention, and this isn't all women, it's the ones who are creating this drams in the first place.

The author just wanted to cram it in there to virtue signal that she is (of course) against racism like everybody else. It's also a huge part of intersekunal feminisim, a branch born because there really isn't many women's issues to fight in the west so they had to find something else to champion to feel good about.

...

You know how white women are

Across this website, on all fucking boards every time someone makes a post like this they write it like they're not from here. I wonder why that is.

blame the white guy for everything?

No. There are no women on the Internet.

Untrue!
Jitensha shows up on /d/ occasionally.

It was a dumb joke, but the fact that people are still acting this asspained over it retroactively makes it a stroke of genius.

The fact that it doesn't even sell makes the outrage even more absurd, to be honest. It doesn't matter and reaches only a small group of people, yet there were 500 threads about it, anyway. Talk about "looking to be offended."

This whole thing could be blamed on white men not beating their white women. When we gave them equal rights we should've given them equal lefts, as well. Y'feel me? Bitches got out of line. Acting like they don't know their place when they're doing all this dumb shit purely to get smacked. "How much dumb shit can I pull off today? WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE HIT ME ALREADY!? DADDY, HIT ME!!!" Don't fucking trust women on anything. Just know that deep down when a woman is pulling off some outrageous shit thinking she's some kind of voice of reason or your moral superior, she's just doing that shit so she can provoke a slap in the face by you. If your bitch gets out of line and you don't slap her, you are sending her signals that your seed is of low quality.

maybe some people want to see more female writers and be a successful book with out antagonising the reader.

The art in this is painfully atrocious.

Like, I couldn't be fucked reading what ever the writing was because the art was such a fucking eye-sore.

Why does Marvel put such shitty artists on their "girl power" books is my question? Is it Marvel's way of being sexist? Saying "look at all our progressive writers" while they pair them with terrible artists? Because other than fem-Thor that's what it seems like.

>Not many lies detected

I think there's uh more wrong with the powergirl pic then just the boob window, user.

Being a shitty artist IS being progressive. This whole situation is basically the modern equivalent to the whole 90s Liefeld-esque movement.

But the 90s Image-Esque stuff actually had pretty rad splash pages.

A splash page of whatever that Hellcat shit was would look like someone with cerebral palsy trying to imitate Picasso.

Well we are also not talking about what color was your shit this morning or my dick rash. So that tampon argument is invalid.

It's a matter of the artists being lazy and taking the easy way out the moment it's presented, and saying "it's my style" if someone criticizes it.

It's because these specific women are manipulative with no real world experience.
