What is your favorite Russian movie?

Tarkovsky's "the mirror"

It genuinely bothers me how much this Putin shop looks like a girl I dated in high school.

Literally no one watched this masterpiece, The Turkish Gambit.

...

>no one watched one of the highest grossing Russian movies of all time

Hate to break it to you, and you might think this movie is arthouse and a good portrayal of whatever, but it's trash. It's a caricature, and not in a good way, but in a toxic, 'have no idea how to write chatacters/story' type of way.
The only redeeming quality being the portrayal of the relationship between the girl and her family.

Why the fuck haven't I been able to watch Viking with english subs? That movie came out over a year ago, what gives

I don't take it seriously, it's just a guilty pleasure for me, i just like to laugh how ridiculous it is.
It's also pretty comfy on rewatch.

yeah but it takes place in the soviet union, and the language is russian

Its a bit hard for me to watch Russian movies

>Be me
>Age 10 movie to the US
>Supposed to stop being Russian and adapt to American life

Basically I like brat, bummer, and a bunch of afghan/ww2 movies

Some good political movies as well, but these days I just can't watch anything Russian anymore since it is too painful

Is it me or face app doesn't work so well anymore?
It's like it used to look perfect and now it looks quite uncanny valley ish.

good film imo
