No, it is not. They don't really get many volunteers, they simply pay the Shi'ite guys and their families in Afghanistan, so there are many Afghans fighting for Assad. The volunteers come mainly from Iran itself.

'this is obviously a pro rebel map.
Yesterday the SOHR confirmed the SAA had recaptured the 1070 housing. Then Ivan came with a message from a frontline soldier that there are still millitants in a few buildings.
Looking at today there is no proof from both sides that they fully controll the 1070 housing.
Secondly, the point where the lowest arrow is; tell Hawaz, was confirmed recaptured today.
Tell Bazo and Tell Mat'a are where the frontline is. SAA say they capped it this afternoon. We just dont now. What we do now is they is still a battle going in and around Musrifah/al Shurfah
Yes the SAA lost Huwayz, but recaptured Al' Amirah. Even northern stork (pro rebel twitter guy who waits till shit is confirmed before puting it online) confirmed this.
There were no gains in ramouseh district whatsover. The photo from the SANDKOP factory isnt suprising or new; the rebels always controlled the sandkop factory. The other attacks initiated by the tunnel bomb didnt get the anywhere.
The Sawmill was captured by Jaf at the same time the cement factory directly next to it is still in SAA hands. This was confirmed 3 hours ago by a FSA foto showing them about 1km away from the cement plant.
Even if the whole rebel map you see above would be true. The arty base and Ramouseh stil lstand and they are definitly the most hard places to captured. They are not in the open and are urban areas.
Fase 3: the tunnel bombs. Which started today should have been the end of the SAA. but it hasnt. Meanwhile reinforcements are pouring in and the russians are in full swing. I wouldnt jump to conclusions.
Also: Fierce clashes going in Handarat camp. If the SAA/Liwa al Quds would cap handarat camp they would have a new opening to Aleppo city and this whole rebel offensive would have been for nothing but the relieving of the sieged areas.'

no the sawmil area is in the top left of the screen (the blue). Ivan posted messages that the SAA let them have the sawmill whilst they retreated to the dactory right next to it, pinned the rebels down and called an airstrike on it. Some sources say the sawmill is back in SAA hands, some dont. But the rebels sure as shit didnt take the cement factory and surroundings (which they do on this map)
