Why are they making Part 2 before Part 1?

I though we sent this movie to the deep depths of movie hell?

>article from a year ago
>nothing since
You act like we can't read the date in that URL,
Be smarter.

Dear GOD NO

Shut up, falseflagger. Sage.

There's earth right beneath your feet! The ground is an extension of who you are!

Korra proved that the movies were in tune with Bryke vision anyway.

Ugh.

how the fuck is this gonna work. the actors from the first movie all grew up anyways.

New cast?

no fuck this.

Do Over.

With no Shamalamadingdong.

article's credited to "staff writer", couldn't even put a name on this shit

He said, "It's really weird because on the show the average age was, like, nine-years-old... My child was nine-years-old. So you could make it one of two ways. You could make it for that same audience, which is what I did -- for nine and 10-year-olds -- or you could do the Transformers version and have Megan Fox. I didn't do that... Those kids, it's for them. It was for them, to talk about mysticism and Eastern philosophies through a 10-year-old's vernacular."

He added that creating a kid's show into a mature, adult-oriented film would be like "a betrayal of the innocence of the piece".

He really doesn't know why we hate it. He thinks we wanted it to be a BAY flick when it's really that he's a humorless fuck who didn't do the source material justice.

Why?

M Night's been saying he wants to do a sequel for years. Even before your year old article. What he says or wants doesn't matter. It's up to Nickelodeon and Paramount, and they know that a sequel would bomb

Nostalgia Critic fought for us... And he failed...

Last Airbender was so bad they had to skip the second movie all together and the first part of the third movie.

I'm pretty triggy diggy'd.

It's almost a year old. Ain't happening.

right?

Going by normal Hollywood casting for teenagers, the kids from the original cast must be nearly middle aged by now.

What if, what if it turns out to be good?

On the bright side if it's just as bad as the first we might finally stop fighting over Korra

Awe man I feel so bad, he's been using Azula as a joke for sequels that will never happen for a long time.

Annoyingly a Bay flick take on it could have been better than info dump the movie

didn't the sixth sense win a fucking oscar? how is that a 'cult favourite'?

>mfw I had some respect for dante basco until I saw this
he's riding the ATLA train almost as hard as jason david frank with power rangers.

Yeah, I hate when people enjoy a particular role they got too.

>He hasn't seen the video of Don Tabasco singing Let It Go with a freestyle rap about Zutara in the middle
He has no shame, pretty much everything he does is cringeworthy as fuck

there's enjoying it, then there's relishing any chance to get a scrap of attention.

honestly they shoulda gave this shit to Spielberg.

god entertainment is weird
on tv it's hard as fuck to get a second season, in movies everyone gets a sequel no matter what

yeah at least there would have been awesome bending. michael bay's avatar would basically be korra.

JUSTkino

There isn't a pepe ragey enough to express my emotion, but this comes pretty damn close.

SERIOUSLY THOUGH, why does he keep doing this, since ATLA the shit movie I've watched the series it's great it has world building done right, plot done right (and PLOT if you know what I mean) character development done right and pacing done right, Shyamalan can't even do ONE of those things right in his failed abortion of his movie, although some part of me hopes that he's taken the criticism on board and run with it to make himself a better directo- pffffftt hahahaha oh fuck no it's dead and buried.

How dare he use his acting skills to ACT AND HAVE FUN, that NORMIE FUCK RRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>people falling for this

I wouldn't mind if they did book 2 with a completely different cast and director, considering the cast is older, they cant use them right?

>mfw

You do realize this is even more of a concern it could be in pre-production instead of vaporware, just because it's an old article doesn't mean there's no truth to it I mean look at the new stargate movie articles they were posted a while ago and that films in production...God this is a depressing thread.

The old cast was so bad too. I could never figure out if they were all just shitty actors or if that was Shyamalan's direction.

Just start the whole thing all over. Reboot it, give it to a Hong Kong director. Make it a wuxia/martial arts/fantasy movie, which is pretty in-line with the show. Increase the budget and hire some SFX people worth a damn.

Just don't give it to Shylaman again, please.

So why did Shamalamadingdong nerf firebenders again when waterbenders were just as bad with shit like "lol i pull water from the air's moisture"

to level the playing field

>it could be in pre-production
it's not
there has never been anything hinting at that possibility other than M Night saying "I have a script and want to make it"

He doesn't have any say in the matter

...

It's been long enough for a reboot to come out without having to confuse the general audience. Just reboot the movie with a different cast and director. Nobody wants a sequel to that mess. I guarantee you that it would flop hard if the sequel actually got made however this was posted in 2015 so it's really not happening.

This isn't real r-right?

user, you've just turned my night around I'd suck your feminine dick if I weren't halfway around the globe.
