I'm thinking about learning Norwegian and going to live there to get in touch with my viking roots. Are there many tech jobs in Oslo or not really?

bump

I suppose a lot of norwegians are asleep

Pretty much this. Make another thread in ~10 hours. I know fuck all about tech jobs in Oslo, so I'm not even going to attempt to answer. All I can tell you is that you're going to have to speak Norwegian fairly decently if you want to have any chance of scoring a job

your ancestors :)

HOLY FUCKING CRINGE

I joined a Norwegian-American folk dancing group when I was a kid

It was fun

Why?

What about them?

>with my viking roots

what's wrong with being interested in your roots

>that ancestry

You better start saving your money. Norge is expensive af. Oh and Norwegian might be the easiest language for English speakers. Good luck, for I also want to live and work someday in Norway.

haahahahahah what the fuck is this

I have about 15k in savings right now. How much should I save up?

...

Better let a Norwegian answer that one. I haven't the foggiest.

What's wrong with it

STOP CALLING THEM "VIKINGS" THERE'S NO SUCH THING, THEY'RE NORSE, FUCKING NORSE

> THERE'S NO SUCH THING
explain

I'll call them that from now on, thanks

Such an obvious bait yet so many fall for it

...

the op was pretty good
posting the dna chart was too much though

It's not bait. Norway sounds really nice and I would want to live there even if I didn't have ancestry from there. That nice nature, more reserved people, and social safety net that would assuage my severe anxiety. The whole heritage thing just adds more to it since I'm a history buff. I want to learn more, so if anyone has some good book or documentary recommendations I would appreciate that.
