It's more because Trump is pissed at them sheltering and funding the Afghan Taliban and we're already allied with Afghanistan. That being said yes, we should ally with India to counter China and Islamists though they need to work on their communism issue a bit.

You can't drop everything into Afghanistan m8. That's not how it works.
A big part in giving the money was to develop port and airspaces to drop large scale items. Without Pakistan cooperating it's going to be much harder in the future.
Well hopefully Iran will have overthrown the Islamic regime and reinserted the Shah's in the future, so they'll be more open to it instead.
