Not even China bought into it
Looks like Brendan can finally smile about something

It features one of the most insane stunts ever and is an awesome flick, qualitatively better than both the original Mummy and all Mummy films released prior to this one.

>qualitatively better than both the original Mummy and all Mummy films released prior to this one.

Have you never watched Fraser's Mummy

Have you seen the Cruise Mummy? I doubt it. You've probably also never seen the Karloff or Christopher Lee Mummy movies. Nope, you're a dumb JUST memer tourist and you need to leave. You have no idea how to gauge the quality of cinema outside of box office and retarded memes.

Tom Cruise overstepped his boundaries with this one. i know he wants his annual summer blockbuster but this franchise just belongs to another man and he can't have it. no amount of scientology pull is going to make that happen when it was masterfully done already. you can remake and reboot shitty movies once the old one is forgotten, but the people don't forget masterpieces. they are timeless and much like the mummy in the film, the 1999 version is immortal. try being in a marvel movie next time you old manlet cultist.

Shut the fuck up. Fraser's Mummy was my childhood. No way Cruise Mummy defines anyone's childhood.

Just watch. Once this movie is available to pirate in HD it will become beloved amongst your shitty, shut-in ilk.

You haven't seen the movie. Confirmed. Nice life, buddy.

#FRASERHEADS

>No way Cruise Mummy defines anyone's childhood.
so we are living in a Children of Men scenario where there are no kids anymore?

>yfw SJW have claimed Brendan for themselves

this. fuck all you neckbearded permavirgin haters

I just got back from seeing the R-RATED MUMMY with my crew. By far the most RAUNCHY, LITTY action-adventure film of the summer! Check it out, but only if you're a FAN, CRITICS need not apply!

>Looks like Brendan can finally smile about something
I'd rather protect Sofia's smile than some cuck who was fucking Encino Man.

Fuck it, I'm a Fraserhead.

based frogposter

>Fraser throwing stones while living in a glass house
How well did furry vengeance do
>mfw that fucking movie was playing in the vets waiting room as my dog was dying in the room over

your dog is probably ok

>pajiba
I used to read that shitty site back when it was trying to be edgy by shitting on mainstream movies, and then it slowly started having political discourse for some reason and got even worse. Very similar to what's happening to this shithole actually.

Where do you plan to go next?

I'm going for a run in a bit, thanks for asking. You know damn well we can never leave.

He died two years ago

>one of the most insane stunts ever

which is? Most everything was a CGI clusterfuck

That said I dug the jerky ass movements they gave the mummy zombies. I always dig that unnatural type of undead movement

It was one of the best things about House on Haunted Hill and 13 Ghosts remake.

I thought the black ghost looking thing that gave Sofia the dagger at the beginning of the movie looked pretty creepy too.

this got me into femdom fetish

i fapped so much to this scene

This makes me happy

try feeding him

Cruise Mummy was shit. It was a sub-par Tom Cruise action movie with piss-poor pacing, direction, and writing. It lacked the heart and charm of any of the previous entries in the franchise.

The Vomit Comet stunt. I mean, holy shit. You can't level the "le CG" accusation at this film with a straight face.

Tom Cruise is Buster Keaton tier. Better than Jackie Chan. Sorry, but he is.

What are your considered thoughts on the Karloff and Lee Mummy entries, which you have not seen, embarrassing religiously bigoted millennial fucking scum? Feel free not to answer since you've been completely BTFO.

>i'm assuming you didn't see the 1932 mummy movie
>therefore you can't compare the tom cruise mummy to the brendan fraser mummy

what??

How much does "$25 million" go into $500 million?

>The Vomit Comet stunt
I watched it 3 days ago, what was it?

I assume he means on the plane.

Mummy 2017 haters have been completely annihilated ITT. Now to rest.

>Better than Jackie Chan
'no'

where are people even getting these numbers

For authenticity, Tom Cruise beats Jackie Chan. Also, Jackie's music career is really a stain on his legacy as an actor. It lowers him to the level of Chara.

kys

does he know he is a meme?

>authenticity
What?
He's not even in the same league as Jackie. All he does is risky stuff, but he's not as phisically able or talented as Jackie or Keaton.

Crown Tom cruise

epic

Say what you will but Sofia Boutella as the Mummy is one of the best characters ever imo

Meh, it only had a $125mil production budget, you can tell they were being cautious with it.
$320mil is fine. Not great, but it wouldn't be a failure unless they put stupid marketing into it, and I haven't seen any evidence of that. It'd also be a weird move to make after giving the film such a conservative budget.

This scene was great. If only more of the movie was spooky like this

So it's not a flop right? $170+ after first weekend is good right?

They did spend a few bucks on it though

>Advertising and Cross-Promotions

>One of the first TV efforts was a co-branded spot that ran on ESPN during the NBA Playoffs, featuring basketball stars all turning to watch the news as reports of an attack in London are breaking. Those reports show Ahmanet and her supernatural conjurings before it cuts to the movie’s title and release date. More traditional spots that highlighted parts of the story and showcased the massive action came later in the campaign.

>Promotional partners for the movie included

>Saks Fifth Avenue, which created movie-inspired window displays showing off some of the props and costumes.
Mac Cosmetics, which provided tips on how to look like an ancient Egyptian princess and offered the products to do so.

>Universal held “The Mummy Day” with a massive 75-foot sarcophagus looming over an event attended by Cruise that invited fans to come out and hopefully get excited for the upcoming movie.

christhilk.com/2017/06/07/the-mummy-marketing/

>Better than Jackie Chan.
m8 I appreciate Tom Cruise as well but you don't wanna go there

>featuring basketball stars all turning to watch the news as reports of an attack in London are breaking.

Unfortunate timing with that one.

And just for example, the Tom Cruise motorcycle webm that gets posted a lot is cute and all but Jackie does not fuck around:
youtube.com/watch?v=y8l02AfNoTY

APOLOGISE

And he puts the actors in his movies on the line as well, you could pick anyone from Jackies stunt team and they would style on Cruise on any day of the week.
youtube.com/watch?v=BOGLk-DzomM

Why did he stop appearing in movie ? The last time I remember him was in inkheart and it was a good family movie.

His monster form was cute.

Major disconnect between CRITICS and FANS of the MUMMY franchise like us. Guess CRITICS care less about STUNTS and more about COHERENT STORYTELLING. Bunch of candy asses! :brown fist: #litty

Looks like you got some "furry vengeance" of your own

>muh nostalgia

So you admit to letting emotion cloud your judgment. You're no better than a woman.

>It's a mummy thread with no sofia
Well I guess I'll be the bold user and correct this misfortune.

>$320mil is fine

kek
It's less than any Fraser Mummy films.

Will be taking a chick to go see this, are there any jumpscares?

>$125 budget
>$325 sales
>HAHA FRASER WINS AGAIN
>meanwhile the company is snorting cocaine off ScarJos tits

If only they'd cast a good-looking actress

It is really cool desu

Fuck that meme actor of brendan
