True, but it is an honest totalitarianism, that is, you know who's fucking you over. The Western game is more hidden under layers of delusion; that delusion being that we are all temporarly poor millionaires, and that we can someday achieve top rung status. This is a lie; you are either born into the club or you aren't. You may work hard enough to become another puppet being told what to do by the said club, or live a happy ignorant life beneath that rung, but you will never get to the top, and you will never know who is up there pulling the strings.
Basically when you boil it down, the main differences are how the top chooses to keep the peace. In one form you have them keeping the masses weak and fearful, but informed as to what is what, in the other you have the masses being kept oblivious and happy to be oblivious because they have all their wants/needs within reach. Keep the pig fat and juicy and it won't care right up until you slaughter it; keep it starved and beat it into submission, it still will obey, but the harvest won't be as good.

Well, the fact that some people have wealth and share that wealth with their family isn't at all bad, it's only natural and most people wouldn't care for work or contributing to society if they couldn't pass it on their offspring. Also the people that are playing on 'god' mode often do not understand the value of money so they waste it all and end-up as failures. So the system does balance and there is some upward mobility.
