Is there a better comic to movie costume translation than Deadpool?

I don't mean one to one accuracy so much as looking as good as you could make that costume look on an actual person.

Which comics has this origin story?
After reading some of classic deadpool I still haven't found it

It's a great portrayal of the character but the plot and origin story is the most generic action movie plot of all time.

I don't think any specifically do. His origins always been kinda sprinkled here and there and I dont recall it ever being laid out like this. Least not in. The Kelly rub.

...

The scene in the Workshop was almost exactly what happened in the first annual

Its at least on par

Wonder Woman
Psylocke
X3 Beast
Vision

Eyes, man.
I think this is the closest you'll get, though. I love most of the MCU costumes, but fuck, they needed to be made tacticool to translate.
Deadpool only wins because his costume was tacticool already. Still, props for the mask.
(Oh, and Reeve Superman, even if it's not that fancy.)

Honorable mention: Iron Man, because while it didn't look exactly like any other Iron Man suit, I felt that the aesthetic was perfect. Also the MK 1 was fantastic.

It's largely Deadpool #13-19 irc and Deadpool/Death Annual. Just google the Ajax arc

Eyes wuoldn't work like they do in comics except if they are CGI-ed
I don't think it would look very good on a live action Batman

Also Deadpool #-1 is where they drew all the Vanessa/Wade hooking up backstoy

This, don't see how it could be improved in any way

Dead on. As close as one can get to perfect casting, perfect makeup and perfect costume.

These are the absolute best.

Okay so not best adaptation or best of the best. But could we give some special mention props to the first avenger cap costume. For being one of the only cases (cept maybe ant man) when a hero costume looks like what you'd imagine people would actually make for a hero in real life. Like I buy completely that if captain America existed (why oh Why can't he exist) and was in ww2, that this would be the uniform they made him. The quilting the helmet the belt the colors. Its just the perfect blend of comic book pulp And faintly desaturated realism.

I dunno is anyone else as big a fan of this suit as me?

Man, people really overrate Reeve Superman in every aspect

Shame it took them 7 fucking movies to get us back to a grey batsuit

I am, it's not the best by any means but I love it.

Also a pretty accurate translation of this and works with the whole Ultimate/616 fusion they're going for.

...

he's talking about costume accuracy to the source material you idiot

This is what I thought. Most comic-to-movie iterations of the costumes just make the costumes either utterly ridiculous (Batman especially) or don't bother trying (X-Men). The first few Superman movies did a good job, but then look at what they worked with: Spandex and red shorts.

If absolutely nothing else about the movie (which I loved), that costume is one of the best.

And I still say Deadpool will win every Oscar next year. ALL OF THEM.

You can nitpick it a bit, but it's pretty perfect. Shame about the movie though.

Okay yeah, I forgot Spider-Man. THAT I'll give mad props to.

It isn't. People see big eyes and go crazy ignoring the entire fucking rest of the suit.

It looks cheap as fuck and those boots and gloves are horrible. God, those fucking boots...

Deadpool and TASM2 Spidey are absolutely spot on
BvS had some great costumes for Batman (especially the DKR mech suit) and Superman, shame about the movie though

For awhile I liked this costume but MCU Spidey sorta blows it out of the water now, so.

>inb4 shitty CGI suit

still looks better. the classic eyes really do it for me.

The problem with it is that it's magic is mostly post-production so that feels like cheating. It loses a lot of its magic when you know it doesn't really exist IRL. But yeah, it's definitely superior to TASM2.

I'm very curious to see the suit without all that post in set pics from Homecoming.
