i didnt even realize family guy was a real show until i googled it just now. i thought they made up a show to mock it.

You hate the most of others what you see yourselves in them

>Show with the talking shit character

no you didnt

why are you lying on the internet, fuckhead? you can't do that

>Is South Park a much more sophisticated show than Family Guy?
Matt and Trey THINK it is. Its not.

nice nice nice

Actually, yes. The new seasons of south park are awful but it used to be a sharp commentary with lots of witty jokes you might not catch the first time. Family Guy is just cutaway gags and awful slapstick. But because
>swear words hurrrr how juvenile!!
South Park usually gets the shorter end of the stick from the audience.

Matt and Trey are greedy jews who got pissed off when Seths new show stole half of their audience

DRUMPF

If you watch the episodes they definitely admit that South Park is not actually any better than Family Guy and that it's all just about what people prefer to watch.

I mean it is but not by a lot.
The whole point of those episodes was that Family Guy is far too reliant on frequent cutaway gags that have zero impact on the overarching narrative of the episode.

I stopped watching Family Guy around season 10.
I got pretty bored of it.
Still watch South Park after 20 seasons even though it's rapidly declining in quality.

The great mystery of South Park is how the stats of episodes can be compared to others in dissimilar situations. Aristotle called this the logic of absurdities. With the huge disconnect and differences between episodes shows this is very prevalent in South Park. According to the Shertz-Wilhem principle, every individual episode should balance out with the many shows aired away from their source material. This is suedo science. The suedo intellectuals like Schertz and Wilhelm never took into account the vast numbers taken into the writing of the episodes and the sample size of said episodes. Without that, we wouldn't have a frame of reference as to what the episodes and their ratings would be. I've deeply looked into the issue of episode references and discovered three things:
1) the principles of the Goldstein Theorem most definitely work when applied to South Park episodes and their humor (suedo intellectuals overlook this)
2) when looking deeply into adjustments and ratings of the episodes, you can accurately measure what you have been to be for their stats
And 3) each episode is actually the same humor wise, but their opportunities and television ratings make the huge disparity in their numbers.

While I do agree with your basic assertion, it is too basic to be taken seriously without looking at the complexity of the issue. Show humor are truly a wonder for South Park. Read about Greene's law. It's a heavy read, and it may seem to not relate to South Park or television, but if you really analyze it you'll see what I'm talking about. He presents the same argument I'm making, but much more eloquently.

Suedo.

>seudo

Stopped reading this neckbeard shit there

Why do you have to make up such obvious bullshit? I can't wait to see your rebuttal to everyone. This ought to be good.

Suedo.

Either bait or legit retard, 7/10 can't fully tell.

Pretentious faggot

>Is South Park a much more sophisticated show than Family Guy?
Yes but that can be said for the vast majority of programming out there to begin with.

i didnt even realize family guy was a real show until i googled it just now. i thought they made up a show to mock it.

I love it how both sjws and alt-rights are butthurt about new seasons

>catched

go to bed timmy

why are you lying on the internet, shithead? you can't do that

>I love it how no one likes the new seasons!

Are you the same person that related Jimmy Neutron to a satirical character from a book written by Nietzsche?
You must be a philosophy major.

I'm an sjw and I love the new seasons.

>You're either a far right psychopath or a far left psychopath!

Both shows are garbage. South Park is only slightly better because it sometimes manages to be cleverer in its satire.

9th season Beavis and Butthead was superior to either.

Pic related, it's me

they are both garbage in their own right so who cares

...

>mfw i am both at the same time

Current Family Guy >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> current South Park.
American Dad is 100,000,000 times better than both.

that isn't saying much because they are all shit

Did the two guys from Big Bang Theory fuse?

I loved the angles they took on in the most recent couple of series but I wish they'd go back to making really random stupid episodes and not a 10 episode story.

Suedo.

I thought people stopped watching Southpark at 16

>he watches "adult" cartoons

they aren't cartoons

>south park takes a middle of the road opinion
anything else new?

You're really good at talking but saying nothing

>user never rebuttaled
You got btfo

>there are people who watch that disgusting unfunny shit called South Park
>these people think they can shit on others taste

Nope.

>It's shit now, but it used to be good

>be a sharp commentary with lots of witty jokes
This doesn't make it sophisticated

>there are people who watch that disgusting unfunny shit Family Guy
>these people think they can shit on others taste

wait, family guy is a real show? i thought matt and trey made it up haha

>implying LOST was good
>hurr it was God

Literally nonsense

What a grossly impudent thing to type.

I know this feel all too well

Lmao just because you faggots watch whatever nonsense they put in front of you doesn't mean we all do, I had no idea this shit actually existed, grow up and stop watching cartoons you cunts

Shut the fuck up.

t. Triggered his favourite show is considered shit by people with taste

It's very hard to believe you've never heard of family guy. The show has been on air since like 99 and that shit is everywhere or at least it was in the mid 00s. That is of course you weren't 3 in 2005

Source?

Rather watch family guy than the super hero shit you guys like

#rekd

Sup Forums isn't the worst board, they said

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bogdanov_affair

What are they trying to tell us?

I think it's funny when this episode was made, around 2006, Kyle says at least Family Guy doesn't get all up it's own ass and preachy. When this was around the time Family Guy was going through it's Brian Griffin Mary Sue phase

Family Guy has always been preachy.

I'm sorry, I was under the impression that Sup Forums liked intellectual and deep conversations regarding motion picture debates and topics. It seems I've been mistaken.

South Park is made for edgy 13 year olds so it's no better than Family Guy.

Season 1-5 whacky jokes
6-8 The Brian Griffin is right show
9-today everyone is a psychopath and rapist gore show

t. edgy 14 year old

What did I just read

You literally can't prove me wrong. The next thing you'll do is make fun of me again.

South Park is really more sophomoric than edgy if you want to bash it

>cartman killed a kid's parents because he bullied him and fed them to him

Yeah it's not embarrassingly edgy at all

until s20 yes
when they stopped writting and started just made shit up as they went along it got worse

You mean they let daily events write their episodes when they switched to making them weekly instead of spending time in between seasons to write and polish the plot. You're not a better writer because you slipped in something that happened the same week you show came out. All you did was make it more dated.

Same here

>Aristotle called this the logic of absurdities.
Oh fuck off. Do you know where you ARE?!?

Do you not partake in anything pop culture or anything related to media?

>calling out Family Guy for being formulaic when their own show (South Park) is extremely formulaic
What did Matt and Trey mean by this?

>look at me I'm so above these thing that I didn't even know what it was aren't I so special and different

Fuck off lad

>seeking intellectual and deep conversation
>suedo

get off the fucking school computers and get back to pasting your own shit on the walls, you stupid fucking animal

Family guy is way smarter than south park.

>Leddit hasn't been banned yet

...

Protip: if he's quoting that many posts he wants some (yours)

It's not the structure of the show. It's the cheap nature of cut-away jokes.

>actually thinking Sup Forums gives a fuck about your neck beard opinion

It was a good read

No. Seasons 1 & 2 of Family Guy is literally kino, but more to the point those south park episodes were literally projecting what they do onto family guy.
literally every south park episode is unfunny hamfisted "humor" about a random celebrity doing a random thing.

if you though that post was serious past the second sentence you're retarded and probably browse reddit

I didn't even imply that family guy was any better you inbred tard.

im not sure how you can boil down the show to that if you actually watch it. most writers agree that southpark does satire at a level above anybody in the business rn. with that being said i think theyve taken a wrong turn with full seasons being one giant episode.

I like the PC Principal

Modern south park is garbage. Just as bad as family guy at this point.

Its like matt + trey just pick a popular news story or trending thing on twitter and think
>"how can we force satire out of this, regardless of humor?

The show has become so formulaic and stale. Matt and trey are doing things they used to mock themselves for in older episodes.

Kyle or stan = mouthpiece for matt and trey
Cartman = opposing opinion of matt/trey
Randy = american everyman sucked in by opposing opinion or belief.

Sometimes randy changes to someone like butters or some other side character and stan/kyle turn to another character if the opposing opinion is discussing race/womens issues or whatever (token/wendy) but the formula is still the same.

I think this is partly because the left is the status quo now and they have less to riff on and partly because matt + trey are themselves just less funny and more out of the loop now and mostly just doing the show for a paycheck.

South park used to be so good. It used to be funny independent of it's satire. Now it is dependent on it. It cant even blame it on the change of writers like the simpsons can. Matt and trey are just not funny.

Shut up.

The South Park criticism of Family Guy was accurate but basically irrelevant. Yeah the cut away jokes are random shit thrown together - so what? A much more severe criticism of FG is that a lot of the non-random jokes are both unfunny and relentlessly drawn out to fill air time.

Still, it makes for unchallenging half-decent background viewing. The first Star Wars episode I've sat through multiple times (although even there, the paedo's musical number is crushingly unfunny so I have to skip that).

>plebs still don't understand the entire episode was a fuck you to comedy central for reversing their decision on the scientology episode
