I work for walmart, its my first job ever and i make 10 and hour and i havent even worked a whole year yet

Minimum wage is only poverty if

1. You try to support multiple dependents on it, in which case fuck you, that's your own stupid fault

Or 2. You don't get enough hours. Underemployment is due to labor saturation, which in turn is due to immigration. Reduce immigration, reduce the labor pool, unskilled workers get greater bargaining power and more consistant hours, income for the lower class stabilizes
