What would the British Invasion standouts look like if they were comic books superheroes themselves?

Twats.

Wankers.

>Alan Moore
A dark wizard focused on curses
>Grant Morrison
Power to manipulate reality
>Neil Gaiman
Overrated, he can fuck himself
>Warren Ellis
Gravel
>Garth Ennis
A hardened soldier type or something
>Mark Millar
Sociopath

Grant Morrison is a Zoid.

Tossers.

Moore would be dressed in robes and look like a weird hermit, which he kind of does anyway.
Morrison would have a mix of a superhero leotard and Doctor Strange's mystical getup, and would look like a right prick, but it'd be in the pursuit of hypercrisis.
Gaiman would just be Dream, at least in looks.
Ellis would wear street clothes.
Ennis would wear street clothes with a bulletproof vest and a load of weapons.
Millar would have a spandex outfit, but covered in blood.

> Bendis would try to defeat Morrison by claiming there's no such thing as Chaos Magic.

I have to congratulate you for choosing to shit on least controversial writer ever especially next to those other five. That's how you do a proper contrarian act, folks.

>If
Those are the wizards who protect this realm from the powers of the Dark Lord Stan Lee

Moore is a Classic Merlinian Wizard
Morrison is the Multiverse Wizard
Gaiman is the Dream Wizard

And so on

What the fuck are the other three wizards of, misery and people getting their heads beaten in with crowbars?

Ennis is an Alcomancer

Shouldn't that be Ellis?

His only good work is Sandman. His other comics are mediocre and his novels are absolutely shit.

I dropped Sandman as soon as i finished Season of mists. Fuckin pussy-ass comic

DRAWFAAAAAAAGS

But Sandman is a hundred times better than the other britbong shit.

It isn't

I feel like Ennis wouldn't really do the whole superhero thing. He'd be a Punisher-type at best.

Sorta related.

Metamorphison

Moore's work is 'le deconstruction' crap for fedora tippers.
Morrison's work is good, but not comparable to The Sandman.
Ellis, Ennis and Millar are irrelevant.

>Ellis would wear a fedora

I hate Moore, but you are choking on Gaiman's cock if you think a one-hit wonder is better or more influential than the old wizard.

>Moore's work is 'le deconstruction' crap for fedora tippers
>Ellis, Ennis and Millar are irrelevant
m8

Moore is high magic
Morrison is chaos magic
Ellis is meme magic

Is it really "one hit" if it went on for 75 issues?

What's Ennis? Cuntybollocks magic?

Hey, I accept that everything non-Sandman created by Gaiman is fucking shit, but those #75 issues are way better than a bunch of shitty edgy fanfics with dated references and 'hey guys, i'm totally a wizard xD i'm gonna throw you a sigil'-type cringefests.

He isn't even a proper wizard, he only wanks himself while reading Crowley's wikipedia page.

One hit as in one good series. But you know what i meant, you can't be this dumb.

...

>mfw some guy started a thread in the other day joking in how he found Alan Moore masturbating behind a Burger King

>bunch of shitty edgy fanfics with dated references
Just stop, you're really embarassing yourself.

i feel like a lot of Moore hate on Sup Forums is cause people haven't read him in awhile, like his stuff is just entertaining as well as everything else people love about it

...

>Moore has Swamp Thing, Watchmen, From Hell and V For Vendetta
>Morrison has Doom Patrol, Animal Man and All-Star Superman
>Ellis has Transmetropolitan, Planetary and an excellent Hellblazer run
>Ennis has Hitman, War Stories, an excellent Hellblazer run and Preacher
>Millar has Ultimates 1 & 2, Red Son and The Authority
>Gaiman has Sandman
I ain't saying Sandman is shit (it's anything but shit), but Gaiman is kinda lacking in the comic department.

>Morrison has Doom Patrol, Animal Man and All-Star Superman

>forgetting the masterpieces that are Flex Mentallo and Final Crisis

To be honest I think he is alright. He lost a lot of gas and creativity after Supreme, but now when he isn't bad his stuff is decent read.

Ellis' Hellblazer wasn't that excellent IMO. Haunted was great but the remaining stories were lukewarm at best.

Ennis' Hellblazer was really good in its first half, after Fear & Loathing it lost some potential.

I see Moore as a parody of Hollis Mason from Watchmen. Rather than enjoying retirement he's bitching about how the Superheroes these days aren't doing it right, but publicly he declares that superheroics should be banned.

Gaiman did one superheroic act back in the day and just rides the coattails of that. But secretly he's really sad that he isn't doing more grand superheroic things.

Ellis regularly does superheroic things but goes off on random tangents after he's rescued people about how they shouldn't be doing dumb shit which means they need superheroes to rescue them.

Ennis is totally fan-favorited by MRAs/redpill types because he's "edgy" which infuriates him to no end, but everything he does is interpreted in this neo-facist way when if you actually look at it it's totally the opposite.

Millar was secretly a supervillain and had a false superhero persona. He publicly revealed himself as a supervillain but people still think he's a superhero.

Gaiman is on a mystical quest to make everyone superheroes but largely his attempts just turn into hedonistic parties because people are missing the point but he's a bit of a hedonist anyway so he doesn't discourage it.

Gaiman burned all his ideas on Sandman.

>Millar has Ultimates 1 & 2, Red Son and The Authority

So of good things he's got Red Son?

And 200+ issues of spinoffs.

I haven't read many of his novels, but I like The Graveyard Book and Coraline. Why do you dislike them so much?

...

Is unironic love of superheroes the key to looking youthful?

It's probably the optimism associated with it. Though I wouldn't know...

>Grant was Gaiman all along

Not liking The Books of Magic, not liking Murder Mysteries. Shit taste user.

What about the Books of Magic?

>Eternals
>1602
>literally anything with Dave McKean

That's pretty awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Where's Millar? Is he the dog?

Honestly, meme magic is just a type of chaos magic. Memes are practically unfocused sigils.

...

Even Red Son is mediocre.

Milligan used to be the best hero, but now he's stuck in limbo.
Its a shame they people always mention Ellis and and Millar, but not Milligan.

The Eternals and 1602 aren't anything special but Mr. Punch is his best work and Violent Cases was good too.

I forget, was the "magic of coincidences" Ellis used in his Dr Strange run a type of chaos magic?
Because that's what I consider meme magic.

hahaha what the fuck you're shitting me

>looks to download it
>only one issue available, other issues were never done
Bravo Image.

True plep taste.

I wanna know what Moore would look like with Grant Morrison's hair and facial hair, and vice versa.

Which one voted Leave do you think?

Trips confirm

The art is so bad I can't even tell who's who. Why does not-Morrison have a huge butt?

Millar. He's a huge UKIP-fag and kept threating his followers that he's moving to Canada if Brexit doesn't happen. I bet he's pretty assblasted about Scotland still wanting to stay

I don't know anything about Millar's personal politics but I should've known he'd be the one to ruin things for the other five.

He indetifyies as a catholic and a socialist and an eurosceptic. He's main political influence is David Icke, whom he really admires.

>David Icke

Being a Scot, I don't understand why they would want to remain, we're having another independence referendum and it doesn't make any sense because if we do vote for "independence" they'll we go back to the EU.

That's actually one of Gaiman's dogs (he posts them occasionally on Twitter). One of them had to be put down a while back.

RIP Cabal.

Well, that's depressing.
Well, the £ is pretty much confirmed to be fucked if Brexit actually happens it won't, because Parliament can have the final say, and they're not COMPLETE idiots. so Scotland are just going where the money is. Can't say I blame them.
Fuck, now I remember. Didn't he do a blog post about it, or am I confusing it with the time Ellis' dog had to be put down?

He did.

Morrison's magic is all imbuing ideas/symbols/sigils with power.

The short version is that you have a certain sigil which represents a goal or idea, and you put as much energy into that as possible, either actively by praying/meditating/masturbating/whatever, or passively by just making sure as many people as possible know the sigil (he named the McDonalds "M" as an example of that). The more energy the sigil has, the bigger its influence on the real world. The whole hypercrisis thing heavily involves the use of comics as sigils as well as the use of sigils in comics.

A meme can be seen as a sigil that has power but not direct purpose, so meme magic is pretty much undirected chaos magic (or, ironically, a more chaotic version of chaos magic).

There's this video on Youtube where Morrison is drunk in front of an audience and tries to explain magic. It's worth looking for if you're interested in his brand of pop-mumbo jumbo.

3 wizards

1 and half soldiers

1 Warren Ellis.

I would like to think Ennis and Millar would be the best friends on this team.

>1 and half soldiers
I don't follow. Is Millar a manlet?
>1 Warren Ellis.
lol

He didn't form a cult of personality. Dude couldn't help but drift into relative obscurity, alongside Delano, Robinson, Jenkins...

I like the faithfulness to Ellis and Millar made me kek.
I know Ennis' deeper than he gets credit for but totally the opposite? Really? The protagonists tend to be just as violently assholeish.

Morrison votes to leave this limited plane of consciousness.

>when shit goes south Grant cuts his losses and jumps over the neighbouring Universe

Whatever Happened To The Caped Crusader is fantastic.

Pretty crap desu
