The writing in Unreadable Squirrel Girl is worse than the art. It's absolutely horrible. But if the art was better, say done by the "Gwenpool" artist, the comic would be universally celebrated on Sup Forums and have daily generals devoted to it even with the writing remaining the exact same.
If that fact doesn't make you sick, something wrong.
Charles Long
Marvel really publishes this? Its not some online only shit?
Xavier Harris
gwenpool was a carefully crafted char (and comic) meant to appeal normies/waifufags
the cute art is part of the concept
the current squirrel girl is trying to be... dunno at some point it seemed the writer wanted to play genre deconstruction but then it has been libwankery lately with horrible art
Jordan Smith
lmao who cares go outside faggot
Alexander Murphy
many many webcomics have better art than this marvel-published POS
its not worth the trees that died to make that pulp
Jaxon Cook
>t. Hrica Eenderson
Christopher Jones
those sick backgrounds! I dig the "solid colors" they're chilling in front of.
Aaron Cruz
>makes "joke" >has to explain joke in a fucking footnote So an abortion of a writer and an artist.
Daniel Barnes
Wow, get triggered faggot. Nobody cares about your blog.
Jeremiah Smith
So is her black friend a man or a woman? I remember someone answered a long while back but I don't care enough to search or, God forbid, read the comic.
Thomas Cox
You ain't seen shit. Here's shit.
Michael Rivera
why's prince hanging out with Squirrel Girl
Blake Howard
i think that char's gender mystery is the ongoing plot of the book
Julian Evans
>man or a woman >or Check your god damned privilege.
Carter Murphy
A woman and the artist insists super fucking hard that she's not supposed to be trans.
Christopher Price
The writer had to clarify on twitter that it is supposed to be a woman.
Lucas Robinson
You know the comic is in a bad way when the creator can't even tell the gender of their characters.
Colton Reed
Oh she can tell. By her account, she intentionally can't draw women properly because she hates anyone who's sexually attracted to female characters and wants to ruin their fun.
Isaiah Garcia
Drawing a man and calling it a woman does not make it female. It's a man.
Kevin Allen
Don't be sure...
Leo Cook
Mew the pokemon? What the fuck are they talking about?
Bentley Evans
The black guy has a cat named Mew. The humor is supposed to be that everything he does revolves around it.
James Martinez
Okay, I can get the argument that Squirrel Girl isn't attractive according to her first comic book appearance, but why does everybody else look like they're auditioning for the title role of Mask? What the hell happened to Songbird?
William Nguyen
Attractive people are on the wrong side of history. Everyone will be ugly, starting with comics.
David Hill
Beauty is problematic. What you see in Squirrel Girl is realistic and body-positive.
Mason Lopez
Did you just call black people ugly potato people by default? Because that's what you say when you call this realistic.
Leo Moore
It's her style, user. Don't you get it?
Jaxon Cox
if i just were there for the awful writing, i would read a book instead
Chase Miller
The art in squirrel girl is good. Ya'll are plebs.
Justin Rivera
It's post-MCU "comedy" retardation. This is the future you chose.
Asher Hernandez
Don't worry, got (You) covered.
Aiden Foster
Someone sounds a little flustered.
Ethan Johnson
I'm serious
Samuel Clark
Daily reminder that someone once genuinely congratulated North for writing a transexual character as the best friend, only for North to confirm that no, black girl is indeed a natural born woman.
Jordan Turner
I'm really surprised there isn't more 'bad end' porn of Squirrel Girl, given the nature of her character as plucky and underpowered heroine in a semi-comedy series who has batted lightyears higher than her weight class. Especially as she is actually a little cute.
Adam Bennett
you...LIE You are a BANANA.
Carson Brown
The test results are in. It is in fact a banana.
Ian Johnson
BANANA
Ryder Hernandez
>someone at marvel thought this was ok to publish
Nathaniel Ortiz
This was supposed to be in the tune of the spider-man theme song only it wasn't. How do you fucj that up?
Jack Hernandez
>Erica Henderson art >people with pig faces >people with Down syndrome Pick both.
Parker Rodriguez
OTJS is way ahead of the curve
Lucas Davis
Jesus
Elijah Bailey
That was when she thwarted a mugging by two white guys on a proud person of color, right?
David Green
>Did you just call black people ugly potato people by default? No, I'm pretty sure you just did that.
Andrew Cruz
Unrelated, but I really despise the term "person of color", I'd say it is a racist term as it groups every non-white timogether. What is wrong with just saying black/brown?
Owen Russell
I don't read this because the art is a bit of a turn off, but is Ryan North really doing that bad of a job with it? While i haven't read it in a couple years, Dinosaur comics used to make me laugh.
Elijah Wood
I was about to agree with you, but then I thought for a second and decided rather than try to stop people from saying PoC I would prefer trying to get them to call me a person of pale.
Nicholas Gutierrez
I think that its ok.
Like OP said is about the artwork.
Gwenpool is a terrible book and I dare to say that the writter has the same mediocre quality that Squirrel Girl has, the same brand of bland dorky humor.
But Squirrel Girl has bad art while Gwenpool has animu faces art that look ''cute'' so the book is praised as ''really good and funny as fuck!!!'' while Squirrel Girl is hated.
They are the same fucking book, I think that Squirrel Girl is a little bit better but still bad.
I say the book is ok because I know that if I was a kid, the target audience for SG, I would probably like it more, the book is actually selling
Oliver Thomas
>s ''really good and funny as fuck!!!''
i dont think anyone likes gwenpool for anything else beyond waifufaggotry
Daniel Miller
I think it's okay. I'm not super into it but there's stuff I like. Squirrel Girl on the other hand is straight up garbage. I got through about half an issue before I bailed on it.
