My city is influenced much more by greek cuisine than italian. very popular pizza here is spinach and feta with olive oil as sauce. Better than anything that has ever came out of italy. We have places that make sweet sauce cardboard trash pizza too though. It's not that we don't know about Italian cooking, we just know better than to add that much sugar and fat to anything besides a desert.

I only go into ethnic takeaways when the staff are all from the corresponding ethnicity. My favourite kebab shop recently hired two qt polish girls and I immediately stopped going. I visited Italy a few times. I ate a pizza in Venice. Definitely the best pizza I ever had.

It was so simple and yet so delicious. Italians probably have the best food in the world.

Well, it depends on the kind of pizza obviously. I meant no fat in the dough itself. But there are pizzas without cheese, check out "pizza marinara" if you want. One of my favourite, healthy and tasty.

I've been to Italy as well. They barely have running water and electricity. You can't get simpler than pizza but they fuck that up as well. It takes less than half an hour to make from scratch.

I only go into ethnic food places where the prices and food quality are higher. Don't really give a shit about the staff but it's a bonus to the atmosphere if it's a sit in place and the staff are authentic.

Good Paki restaurant, Nepalese, kebab, Italian etc.

Ah, I see. Italy had some good pizza, the average pizza place in Italy is definitely better than here, however, my favorite pizza is still from a place in New Jersey. I've been going there for years and will continue to do so, it's a small place run by the same Italian family since they emigrated.

Only good pizza is old fashioned New Haven Apizza. Sally's or Pepe's. Tomato pie or mozz pie. Everything else is a lie.

The best kebab I ever ate was €10 and had shredded lamb that was almost certainly just shredded lamb. Not cheap meat at all.

Yeah, that would be my guess. But you know, a lot can change in the recipee. Only thing I know for sure is there are no added fats or sugar in the pizza you find here. We have those fat, thick pizzas here too actually, we still call it pizza but we know it's not really the real thing ;)
