realistically 'white' canada has a very seperate identity from multi ethnic canada.
I still have yet to meet anyone that isn't white that vacations in cottage country during summer, or only did it once. Those bonds run deep and help bind a community.

With a little bit of an ideological shakeup, they could unite the working middle-class and professional middle class. I was deeply disappointed that the NDP fared so poorly in the last election (minority governments, while ineffectual ultimately do less damage in the long run imo), but realistically the NDP is the most PC of the lot. Weird as it sounds, I wish we had the Anglo equivalent of the Bloc Québécois. At least they seem willing to stand up for traditional values, even if they are weirdo French ones.
