...That's a big Twinkie.

I'd only get this if you don't give a shit about the bonus features in the Time Life release.

They're not included on this set.

Additional info: while it says Volumes 1-5 it does not mean SEASONS 1-5. It includes the first 50 episodes (159 episodes were made total IIRC).

Anyway, I figured there has to be plenty of Sup Forumsmrades that grew up watching this show like I did that would care to get a ton of these episodes for a ridiculous price.

Time life release is like $400 now isn't it?

But will it look like shit?

I got vol 2 awhile ago and most of the episodes look like old bootleg vhs over the air recordings.

seriously though Extreme DVD when

I love me some Real but let's be honest only the first 2 season where any good

Who voices Venkman?

Lorenzo Music, usually?

he got replaced somewhere down the way

"Real" is this canon?

assuming your serious it's to take a jab at the Filmation Ghostbusters.

See in the 70s there was some UK show called Ghostbusters

then there was the Billy Murry movie everyone loved and got popular

so Filmation made a show based on the UL busters or some shit

but then sony wanted to make a show so they added a REAL tag becuase fuck Filmation

Lorenzo Music at first, then got replaced by the guy from Full House who usually does cartoon character impressions.

When i found that out it blew my mind. Because i always wondered why they called it the real ghostbusters.

I think he's asking because the network actually had the newer VAs go back and dub over the older episodes for reruns and most fans hate that shit so would hope it's not on the DVD.

Joke's on them

I dont know man...not with all this shit with the movie going on.

Even the comics, I am keeping a planets distance from all of this. The sales are going to hurt thanks to SONY's stupidity.

What's the difference between this one and the version that looks like the firehouse? Does this have anything that that one doesn't that would make it worth it to grab this one when I already have the previously mentioned version?

Think of it this way, if you avoid the new movie and it's "let's attack the fans and call them sexist" marketing plan; then buy the cartoons that are actually good, you've voting with your wallet.

Firehouse one has all 147 episodes, bonuses and special features. Originally it was over $100, I think now it's around $350.

This release is just the first 50 or so episodes. No idea on special features, no idea on video quality, but is avail for pre-order for $30

>Sony just won't release seasons 1 and 2 so it's either this which will possibly be forever incomplete or tracking down the expensive OOP Time Life individual volumes where you have to buy season 3 in its entirety to get the rest of season 2
ffs

Who knows, but it's on Hulu in great quality right now and there's rips on that on Kametsu

>Sony has rights to Ghostbusters cartoons
>Allows Extreme Ghostbusters on Hulu
>Doesn't allow any to stream Real Ghostbusters.

Wow Sony really has no fucking clue how to market this property...

Man.

You're fucking stupid.

This all the way.

Ah, having the time life Firehouse Boxset.

I have one too, but I honestly had no idea that it was this expensive now until I read this thread.

Because it's been out of print for years and scarcity of a wanted object increases value.

I just assumed it was newer than it was.

Is it as over-priced as the other one?

They also believe that they can make a GB Cinematic Universe starting with that piece of shit coming out next year.

I see they brought back the gorilla for this one.

Last time I checked you could watch the first season of real on Crackle of all places.

No, assuming they end up completing the entire series it'll still ultimately cost less.

It's on Crackle.

>That piece of shit coming out next year.

Errr...user I hate to bring the bad news, but that piece of shit is coming out this July.

I thought they shot and killed Harambe.

Wow, out of all the cartoons that fucked over by focus groups the Real Ghostbusters had it worst.

$45, $30 on Amazon preorder but it only includes 1/3 of the episodes

>year

you mean month

Has the extras from the expensive dvd set been released on the net?. Only thing I really want to see.

If the movie does well, maybe they'll allow some networks to play it again.

...

After this was filmed, yes.

>If the movie does well, maybe they'll allow some networks to play it again
Oh no, we're fucked.

...

Indeed.

I guess that's why they call this board random xDDDD -glomps u-
