Remember when Geoff Johns was a Smallville villain?

...

You had to, didn't you?

I don't know why people freak out over the dirty jokes in Animaniacs; the ones in Rocko were WAY dirtier.

>still not DMCAd

Down with the carrier

I am sure you're sick to death of GERMANS

why would you hang paranorman?
the difference is, in animaniacs you at least recognized it was a joke. a joke that went over your head, but something you might have recognized from the old 3 stooges or marx bros routines your parents had showed you
on Rocko you didn't even realize it WAS a joke

>You will never go to Japan and develop an unspoken romantic relationship with a pretty girl as you bond over your shared love of rhythm games

gotta admit to this day i fantasize about going there, being fawned over for being huge, getting weird looks for having independent thoughts, getting the shy nerdy awkward girl (whom the others make fun of for being tall) to fall for me, being the captain of the sumo team...
then i remember how fucking hot it is, how tiny things are, huge huge the bugs are, how it's so fucking humid that your bed will grow mold if you dont air it out of your window every day...
so I guess what I really want is to just have a bunch of kids for friends and be their cool older pal

Wait what?

>Yep
>Hai

I AM NOT A HAMBURGER

dirty old man, take a shower
take take take a shower

its been years and thats still stuck in my head

>What are genetics?

The episode of Smallville where Clark joined the football team had a "meteor freak" named Geoff Johns.

The Cereal King's first live action OC was himself.

...

is this not mexico, though?

>people thinking you can be racist against a culture
i don't understand, what did he change it to?

That's the joke.
Nick was afraid they'd be call racist if they had an episode called "Walk of Doom" end with Zim walk into Mexico. However they were comfortable with a bunch of intentional stereotypes. They sorta missed the forest for the trees.

oh i get it, you're suggesting in the original it was just a sign, and nothing else. so he replaced the sign with all the mexicans. that way if you say 'hey that's racist because it's mexican' you're the only one calling it mexican which means you're the one describing it as negative.

Nobody on Sup Forums reads this series but whatever

The context is Dragon Jr is about to have a 3some with his girlfriend and step sister who hes lived half his life with. In a later issue it happens again, this time with his ex-girlfriend and he gets them all pregnant.

I swear the writer is just making his fetishes happen or something

I'm sad he didn't get Knockout pregnant and instead it was the regular mortal stripper woman

Shut up Peggy.
AMERICA

Usually most "characters are taken out of their usual environment for a foreign/exotic one" episodes are complete shit but goddamn was this a good episode.

>tfw Bobby never met Dansu Girl again

>I don't know why people freak out over the dirty jokes in Animaniacs; the ones in Rocko were WAY dirtier.
Easy: Animaniacs aired on the local networks, while you couldn't even watch Rocko unless you had cable.

At the time Rocko first aired, most people didn't have cable, and especially not the people who'd complain about dirty jokes.

YOU CAN NOT HAVE SONS

So goddamn retarded
of all the other shit that happened in this series and they are afraid of being called racists?

wait, i thought that whole arc ended with pre52. Didn't it end with Vandal just getting both of them to agree to share before the whole team made a venom fueled suicide run against the Justice League?

..... so is he Chinese or Laotian?

Great twist, genuinely didn't see it coming.

The arc got brought back in the new52

>Catman is naked

What is this? It looks like Ava's Demon but it's not

Looks like fan art.

The movie in question is Paranorman

Oh so somebody just drew fanart of Paranorman killing himself

NOW HANK
....nnnnNNOW HANK
OW HANK

>that one time Nightwing got swallowed by a meta, was spat out and mutated with the same mutation, and swallowed a guy to kill him

>stereotypes
That pic is the most realistic representation of Mexico I've seen in a cartoon. Hands fucking down. Jhonen made me proud.

No there's a curse on the town because in ye olde Salem times the town hanged a small girl.

Paranorman is about a young boy named Norman who can see and communicate with the dead. The film builds up the story of an evil witch who terrorized Norman's hometown when it was a Puritan colony and laid a terrible curse upon it which causes the deceased villagers to rise from the dead.

At the start of the third act of the film, Norman experiences a vision where it is revealed that "the witch" was a little girl who, like Norman, could also speak with the dead. The confused and frightened villagers condemned her as a witch and put her to death.

Don't forget that happened all while she was crying because she didn't understand why they were doing that to her

I can't enjoy the movie because of that.
It's just too unpleasant, especially for a kids movie.

GRANDMA

It's just the absurdity of the situation. Having the original ending be "Welcome to Mexico" would be completely fine and would just be a simple geographical joke. The approved scene though seems to invoke even more racism than what the original scene had intended by including multiple Mexican stereotypes.

The executives probably weren't thinking critically.
They were worried that having Zim walk to Mexico could be construed as Negative commentary on the country and its peoples. But in the rewritten ending Jhohnen probably didn't specifically say it was Mexico, just filled it with stereotypes and the Execs never put two in two together just assumed Zim walked into a wacky place with a Salsa dancing butcher and a little girl hawking gum.

Reminder she and Norman are related by blood.

I believe they had the same surname in the movie, or her surname was his mother's maiden name. I can't remember which, but I recall it being heavily implied that they were relatives, though not direct descendant/ancestors, for obvious reasons.

Thanks for reminding me of this masterpiece, user.

Calling something Mexican is not offensive, Michael Scott.
