I think I preferred her motley get-up a LOT more than the slut trend

I think I preferred her motley get-up a LOT more than the slut trend.

Both are better than the New 52 look.

It's 2016 op stop slut shaming

At least she's back with the joker

The SS costume is actually worse than the cosplay my sister's fat friend did that barely resembled the original and i had to ask her what it was.

And I preferred it when Harley's insanity was an unhealthy devotion to a dangerous lunatic and not a parody of schizophrenia

what's sad is the original look has never even been tried!
i mean i get it, not everyone wants tights on their superheroes, but surely at least THIS character can have a spandex bodysuit.

>but surely at least THIS character can have a spandex bodysuit.
It's so perfect.

This.

>a parody of schizophrenia
A bad Deadpool copy you mean?

OG Harley all like "Get a load a this bitch!"

Honestly i like the new get up and it's easily far better than her New 52 look, and as i understand the comic version now looks more like this now too. I approve.

I just really hope that they don't turn Harley into some wannabe crazy person. I also hope that she doesn't become the comic relief.

>"The voices are telling me to kill everyone!"
>"Just kidding, that's not what they said."

>and as i understand the comic version now looks more like this now too

Yeah and it looks fucking horrible there too. Original costume is best costume and I hope DC eventually realizes that.

I can understand why they wouldn't want to use the original look for a film, it's definitely more suited to animation/comics, even moreso than most comicbook costumes are.

That said the new look is absolute shit, and it would've been better if they'd gone with the original outfit than what we have now.

Comic movies aren't for comicbook fans. It's sad but that's just the way it is.

Her Arkham Asylum get-up was the best

Fucking great taste here. I'm with you, OP. I do not get why people keeps messing with what was already perfection.

I never imagined Harley wearing Spandex. I always assumed it was like a cloth harlequin's costume

I wonder how many more years we're going to be subjected to every idiot thinking they're special for liking the classic Harley costume.

So long as autism exists, i imagine

Spandex hugs her skin more than regular cloth would

What's weird is when it's depicted as being latex

Yeah those people who made that decision aren't doing a good job of hiding their fetishes

Wow, you're so unique. Only 90 kids will get how great BTAS was! Literally everything not made by Bruce Timm is shit.

>le voices xD

Every time I saw a trailer for that movie I fucking cringed. I swear to god this is gonna bring about a second generation of scene kids and I'm gonna hate every minute of it.

I feel like the Arkham vg series does a good job of finding the balance between the two.

>Every time I saw a trailer for that movie I fucking cringed.
That's because like most internet kids today, you're a faggot

I thought I was the only one that thought it was cringy too. Defintely can't spread this unpopular opinion on Ribbit, I'll get downvoted to hell for going against their flavor of the month actress.

Please tell me you can grab a pic of it from Facebook or something. I need a good laugh.

However many it takes for DC to give her her old costume back.

Then it'll be "I actually really liked her New 52/Arkham City/Suicide Squad/etc. outfit and wish they would have kept it."

...

What would Harley Quinn have looked like if she had been in the Adam West Batman?

>each new iteration of Harley resembles original harley less
I'm beginning dislike Harley because they keep making her worse and I don't want that to happen.
It started slow with a couple of risque issues, then alterations to the costume and personality started taking over, then arkham changed everything, Assault on Arkham was the final nail, I didn't know I had autism until this film ruined her completely.
I hate rocksteady.
I'm sure Robbie will knock it out of the park with what they give her but it's just a bastardized Harley.

"I'll mouider ya!"

I'm not overly worried about that line although It does seem a little off I'm more concerned with the handbag theft bit.

Still she's back with joker so I'm happy

I agree

Nah, sorry. But it would have indeed given you a chuckle.

...

What the fuck was DC thinking by going with any design other than the one that actually looks like a harlequin?

I can't wait for Superman to ditch the S and the red and the blue.

Literally haven't seen the movie but calling something "bastardized" based on nothing but costume. Love that internet autism

Assault on Arkham had the best Harley Costume

>the red
I'm sorry user but it's already happened just a few vestiges left

Also had the best voice

I like how it looks better is all.

New Harley doesn't look like a clown. She looks like some chick you'd meet at a concert.

It's not an S, user. On his planet it means "hope".

I thought it was a family crest

I would fucking hope so

Unfortunately, not a lot of gals have the right kind of facial features to do her.

She is clearly trying to make everyone uncomfortable tho why is that a bad thing.

I agree the I did like the costume from the Power Girl team up It was pretty cute boob window & all. Yes I loved it the Harlequin mask as part of the hood was A cool look also her jester frillies being black look good 2 & the Combat boots & yes the belly showing & dat pelvis I liked two. I don't not A fan of the Red & Blue color change nope.

Well done OP, you're just like every other 90's kid on the board.

im the person you hate, i didn't care about her character at all until they made her sexy in that batman game.

Based

Not many people think that, but I agree. I even bought the Kai Play Arts figure.

This is more latex than spandex, but is all the better to me.

Never realized she could hold her breath that long.

most people do.
After they started changing costumes evry so often, I wondered why that was. I guess for me, it's the fact she's got that bubbly personality and that you can see her curves in the classic costume, but it's not blatantly sexual, contrary to the slutty look that's prevailed over the last decade or so. I'm also a hardcore 90s Rogue fag, so I guess I just like cute girls with raspy or squeaky voices in skintight stuff.

Maybe I appreciate sluttyness in modesty, if you can call it that? The Bad Girl peeking through the Princess facade now and again?

She actually did appear in the Batman 66 comic. She used the original design, with some costume changes occasionally.

I have to agree with the tripfag she was just fucking with them.

How about this Harley?

that's clearly tim drake

great taste OP
anyone who thinks otherwise has shittaste/is 12y-o

The ponytails to replace the original hat was a clever idea but the overall schoolgirl look is just shit.

Speaking of figures, is the figuarts Harley Quinn worth it? I'm asking the thread as a whole here, I really don't know if you have that one or not.
But I keep seeing it at Barnes and Noble for like $50 and I'm tempted.

I bet that version had a penis.

The movie version suits movie Joker more though.
The harlequin costume would've been great with Jack Nicholson's Joker, but alas.

It dates back only to the Donner movie. It was just an S before that.

Wasn't she just fucking around with the guards in that part? I doubt that she was serious.

This
I'm more concerned with he handbag scene

And thinking about it I think my main problem with that was the way it was delivered.

Still humor wise it's hard to judge the film yet

>She looks like some chick you'd meet at a concert
She reminds me of one of those roller derby women.

Some sort of wierd clown themed concert.

Was joker ever in a band

i like to think the stupid slut harley is what happens when you break her up from joker or ivy, but it's just that new 52 is shit

> adapting a character from a comic into a movie
> ignore the comic and just base the movie costume on some random photo shoot of a rock star from the 80s

Bravo Hollywood.

We do realize that this is just blatant consumerism and 'nerd culture' is a scam to get idiots to buy anything with a certain brand name on it? Instead of keeping true to characters people love, they just create new shitty 'movie versions' and expect fans to be so brainwashed they buy them.

Simon Pegg was right.
We just wouldn't listen.

That was Bruce Tim seeing Warners and cosplayers making Harley look like a Juggalo stripper and trying to beat them at their own game.

The first Arkham game had a Harley costume that made sense in context. They took over the asylum and she dressed as a nurse.

Well, Jared Leto is in a band so I guess it works for the movie I suppose.

It was probably in her refrigerator with all of the other body parts.

She's not fat enough to be a typical Harley cosplayer.

I don't give a fuck about and neither should you. She's not the same character just a character that shares name and is vaguely based on Harley.

Labels are shit and should not be considered.

We really do need to realize these big companies think in terms of brand names and don't give a shit about characters and stories we love.

They just want us to be Pavlovian dogs whenever we hear the bell of the brand name we like.

They just want to slap brand names on products and sell it to us, even if the characters are completely altered and look nothing like the ones fans have supported for decades.

I was never a fan of her original costume.

i tried/trying

i like this one

>Invisible Woman Slam
It's like they didn't even try

I've seen that but the thing that puts me off is the really obvious articulation at the top of the legs.

Sluts should be shamed, they are disgusting
This is the truth of the eternal $Current_Year

>What's weird is when it's depicted as being latex
Are we going to have a problem here?

comic book movies are not marketed to comic book fans.
They already have your money because they know you'll go to see it cause you already love it. They instead are marketing to a wider base of non-comic fans. Because there is more of them and they have more money.

Perfectly agree about both
