So just read the article in its entirety. Basically he didn't say trump was mentally ill. He did think that he might be narcissistic which is expected for political office and that he might be bipolar which is again good if someone is an hypo manic state, but thought that his relationship with his family proves out that he's not a sociopath or psychotic. The question that he was actually raising was about people feeling the need to support someone who is bombastic and goes off the reservation in his speeches.
