West Aleppo is cut from the south since this morning
They have gained footholds in a couple of places along the south western edge of the siege, but it has cost them close to 400 men (which is the lowball estimate based on released casualty figures). They are overstating their gains, understating their losses, and right now they have stalled. It will probably remain stalled for a few more days as they grind themselves to death on the SAA positions, then a major counter-offensive will begin and they will be rolled all the way back into Idlib. Its do or die for them for a reason.
