Nothing will happen. Remember in Sochi how everyone was saying ISIS would strike? And Russia was already fighting them back then.
These large events have very tight security around the athletes. Terrorists could in theory strike outside the events, but why would they target Brazilian civilians in some random location when Brazil isn't even at war with them?

The only happening to witness will be bunda and a hilarious lack of organization by Brazilian authorities. The games haven't even started yet and there are reports of athletes missing practice because of bad traffic or having to queue for 45 minutes just to get inside the Olympic village.

Well Brazil is so bad right now with security they would potentially repeat what happened in the past. Hold a Olympic team hostage and murder them. Quite honestly with Brazil hosting this shit could easily happen.
