Which series/character has the worst fandom?

Which series/character has the worst fandom?

I don't mean "I hate this series, so therefore I REEEEEE at its fans."

What fandom is honest to god cancerous, even within itself?

MLP.

Of all time? Homestuck

DnD was pretty bad awhile back.

The one that had to get its own containment board

Steven Universe. I say this as a fan myself.

/thread
It has its own containment board for a reason.

Oh damn, it's definitely a tie between these two

Sonic.
The answer is and always will be Sonic.

fpbp, not a doubt in my mind. I would imagine that other furry-based fandoms such as Zootopia would be serious cancer, but none have thus far reached the lofty heights of MLP. Sonic's fandom is pretty special, but I think they're more endearing some how. More 'special school' than 'sex offender wing'

John Constantine. Every other DC character has been changed and reimagined throughout the years, but anything other than a few select Hellblazer story arcs is absolute heresy.

Like, yeah the movie had nothing to do with the comics and the New 52 launch series sucked.

But the show was as decent as Flash or early Arrow and the DC You series was enjoyable.

It's like saying you can't like Court of Owls because it's not Year One or Dark Knight Returns. Although, there are people like that.

No, it isn't cute or romantic. She isn't empowering. You are literally advocating abuse.

Garth Ennis Punisher fanboys.

He doesn't own the character, assholes. People other then your god are allowed to adapt and twist the character as they see fit, stop pretending his run is the only one that matters.

I would say go back to T-umblr, but they are the ones that encourage it

>Implying abuse can't be romantic
Empowering no, but doomed love of an abusive partner is as old as the hills and almost always painted in a tragic but idealised light.

from the thumbnail I thought that image was Harley sucking a horse cock

>"I hate this series, so therefore I REEEEEE at its fans."
You got that backwards.

>MLP got a board because the fandom was so bad and not because a couple of vocal autists got triggered compounded by trolls realizing how easy it is to assblast Sup Forums with MLP threads
Keep telling yourself that. Proportionally, it still made way more good music, fanfiction, porn and games than cringe compared to most shows. It was just big.

Haven't watched the show for 5 years now, but having experienced the fandom first hand, it was nowhere near bad enough to cause this sort of Vietnam-tier PTSD in you faggots. There are plenty of fandoms that behave as bad or worse, but are ignored because hating them isn't a meme.

Trump fandom

Fandoms in general are terrible.
People feeding each other's most annoying, embarrassing tendencies.

Matt and Trey hate Trump

If you're part of the fanbase don't try to comment on how not annoying or not that bad it is because you'll look like a dumbass every time.

Imvader Zim. Not even a question. Sonic is just autists, mlp is just idiots, SU is just kind of annoying, Gravity Falls is just idiots, Homestuck is just annoying. But all of those also had decent parts of their fandom. (except Sonic who at best manages 'endearingly autistic') Invader Zim fandom, as a whole, was a cesspool of loathesome waste.

>it still made way more good music, fanfiction, porn and games
yeah and they were about cartoon ponies

MLP is a garbage fandom, stop lying to yourself

While it was mostly the latter, it was still both. While most stayed in their threads, there were still a few who elected to spam it everywhere because people got mad it it. Vicious cycle, and all that.
>they were about cartoon ponies
You realize that just by being about a "cartoon" even more people would scoff, right? Specifying that they're cartoon ponies doesn't really say anything about much.

Thundercats has some truly batshit-crazy fans. I think that they've faded into obscurity, now, but in their heyday, a bunch of them involved with Fanfic.net attacked the old Portal of Evil because they thought its Fanfic.net forum was a super sekrit hidey-hole for expatriate ff.net admins and junk, rather than geeks making fun of other geeks.

Sup Forums.

Zim isn't that bad. The fans are bad, but as a group they're just Tumblr trash.

It's more important to look at the fandoms that act bad as a collective. Like those SU fans that attack everything that even somewhat threatens their perfect bubble, up to and including the OC creators and even the people who make the fucking show.

I can't speak much for Homestuck, though in its heyday it was probably the worst fandom, period. Though I don't know, so it can't count here.

I tend to agree that zami (?) incident really takes the cake for vile bullshit. Inb4 some tumblr landwhale here shows up to argue that bullying kids to death for drawing a picture you didn't like for not venerating obesity enough is justified.

I don't feel like that's representative of the fandom. It's an isolated incident that happened a year and a half ago by some cunts who already had a grudge against the girl for stealing their boyfriend or something and did it by complaining about even her non-SU art.

And then they had the police called on them.

NuWho vs ClassicWho and infighting between themselves is horrible.

>don't comment on things you actually got first hand experience about

Sorry that everyone can't be into adult cartoons about super-powered men in spandex like you, user.

It's unfair to attach spammers into the fandom of the show they spam. I'm pretty sure the idiots who spam "Why doesn't Batman just ..." threads or Baneposters aren't held against legitimate Batman fans even though cumulatively, they made way more shitposts and troll threads than the forementioned MLP-spammers.

>You realize that just by being about a "cartoon" even more people would scoff, right?

No, cartoons like Adventure Time and Regular Show are accepted among young adults as a cool thing to like.

MLP is cringey virgin bullshit

True, but then there are all those times that they attacked the crewniverse, to the point where Burnett stopped answering questions, or that time when the fandom started spamming autism all over that one motel's review page.

If it were just one thing, it would be "okay", but this fandom is really consistent with being very disappointing.

You were never 'with it' to begin with, user. Deal with it.

>People still watch Sup Forums after they fired all the original writers
Some fucking people.

My favorite crazy fandom story is Homosuck kids ruining hotel bathrooms with their cosplay prep/clean up. all that hair dye and body paint

That redhead/shirt is an ultimate qt

Look how triggered you got.

>attack the crewniverse
Honestly nothing spectacular there, that's typical fandom stuff, they all shit on the content creators.

>or that time when the fandom started spamming autism all over that one motel's review page.
That was bad, but not quite comparable to the Zami thing, it's just teenagers being stupid.

Batman fans, easily. To be more specific, casual batman fans.

Undertale

>there really are people that have contexts and perspectives like this

I don't sleep much these days.

I was a Zim fan and I can say the fandom scared me.

Sonic fans range from decent casuals to scary rabid fans.

Though I guess the same can be said for many fandoms.

bit more Sup Forums, but Supernatural comes to mind.

It's about some of their fandom, not them.

There goes an Hiro. Watch him as he goes.

>Supernatural comes to mind.
Is that really a fandom or just girls and women who really want to fuck Sam and Dean or see Sam and Dean fuck

youtube.com/watch?v=5Wz2KWCixtE

I have to give props to the show for just ripping on their more insane fans. I remember my one roommate getting really pissed at them for "queer-baiting" with the characters.

>basing you standards on what normies say is OK to ironically watch while drunk/high with friends
You might as well admit that you think Zimbabwe accurately represents nerd culture.

I stopped watching after the creator left the show after the big Michael and Lucifer show down that was supposed to be the finale

I loved all the wacky and/or meta episodes

youtube.com/watch?v=DdJZ44ydnmc

Anything that has a prominent tumblr fanbase. SU, Undertale, Hamsteak. They draw all the characters as fat amputees with vitiligo.

Naw, MLP at least recognizes it's autism, unlike other fandoms that think their subject matter is cool.

Yeah, I gave up on it after I found out that The Apocalypse wasn't actually the end of the series.
And after my friends ruined the show for me by pointing out that you can tell when Sam is "acting" because he flares his nostrils.
