What do you think of space exploration?
Space
WE NEED TO REACH JUPITER
PRAISE KEK
procedural generation always buged me
It's something I can never be a part of.
Not going to happen until we get rid of all the degenerates on Earth
our future cozy home
We need globalism and act as one species without countries just planet earth and then we can colonise other planets
I wish I was born in the future so I could explore the cosmos
It'll only become feasible when it can generate profit.
Mining stations on asteroids, probably unmanned, will kick-start the real space age. Away-stations for engineers to service the machinery will be set up, and may lead to commercial enterprises such as space hotels.
Once we've progressed from mere survival in space to more luxurious habitats, it may even become viable to colonise other planetary bodies within our solar system.
Provided, of course, the bottom line is met.
Yes.
Once we've sorted out a few problems.
Mainly the inhabitants of Africa and the middle east.
Thats not Andromeda m8.
This. Government isn't going to create a space age. It'll be corporations.
The SpaceX dudes, once they get their proof of concept asteroid mined, will kickstart the space race. I'm thinking 40 or so years, assuming something doesn't drastically set them back.
Or if it is, someone changed the color.
Yeah, what people need to realise, is that no one in the history of mankind has ever, ever gone exploring for the sake of seeing what's over the horizon.
Every single endeavour that has discovered something new, has had a financial purpose.
Vikings? Lack of land resources sent them over yonder.
Columbus? Wanted land and slaves for his queen.
The British? East India trading company.
The Roman empire? Set up the largest road network in the world for swifter transportation of goods.
Just got back from there.
Nuthin out there. It's overrated.
Is Spain trying to become a fucking leaf?
We must explore our universe.
It should be out greatest current concern, but idiots and degenerates are clawing us back into the muck.
We need to manifest destiny the living shit out of the galaxy
I think the ol' blue, black and white will make a fine contrast on a red-brown planet.
The elites have selected us for extermination and they will explore the cosmos without us after they perfect their life-extension technologies.
Fuck off you narrow-minded faggots. You were never born with the ultimate piece of the human puzzle- WONDER and the need to EXPLORE for EXPLORATIONS SAKE
We need to build a "force field" of sorts to keep the world safe from intersolar threats
Why not explore and colonize other planets so that we don't have all of our eggs in one basket?
Satellites and orbital missile batteries.
Fuckit, let's just go full 40K and turn the moon into a giant defense battery.
I don't feel like terraforming is within human means how do we create an atmosphere?
it'll die along with the white race. Mudslimes ban anything non-koran i.e., the sun sets in mud. The Woks can't innovate without stealing the technological know how from whites.
Hence, Sci-fi is dead.
If we can destroy one, we can create one.
I have heard that Muslims are forbidden by their religion from traveling the stars. Kind of like the sand people from Home World. I have always wondered if it is true.
We have pretty good natural force field already there.
Space will be explored if our nice planet is not eaten to desert by slimes and roaches or bombed to sterility by mad shills.
When has that ever happened?
Provide one example of people doing anything challenging for a purely altruistic reasons and I will concede that you're not the biggest faggot in this thread.
I don't agree with that lol
Their governing elite cannot realistically enforce compliance to (((god))) with light years between them and those their whip can't reach.
Thus, space travel is haram, here's some convoluted theological explanation from it by imams who have never worked a day in their lives, don't question it.
Idk bro id feel more comfortable if your solar system weren't basically aligned in a 2-plane
Space is pretty big tho so we have time
By that reasoning, a baby could break a watch with a hammer and fix it before bedtime.
This
And if infidels are lightyears away Islam can not reach to them. And the whole base of their religion is fucked.
Let me recommend for you a good YouTube channel about space exploration.
youtube.com
The procedural generation in this universe is fucking garbage.
slide thread then?
archive link
also a couple active threads in catalog
Really, I just want to go between the Earth and Moon.
its the most beautiful thing in the world.
on nice nights i lay down in my garden and look up at the stars with the cool wind rushing through the countryside trees and not a soul in sight. and i smile because its the one thing they will never corrupt.
Yeah wow Ed Snowden is he still alive?
overrated
space is boring and empty, very, very, empty
populating the moon or mars would be pretty cool though
That's really nice user.
No-no
Moon will be prison.
The moon is a mining colony.
You don't want to go there.
Kas ma võin oma suguorgani sinu pärakusse lükata?
I don't mean anything that can be destroyed can be fixed by a baby ya dingus.
Pede oled või?
>"Are you listening god? are computers one of your creatures?"
Mike didn't deserve to die ;_;
What does altruism have to do with space exploration?
You mean people working together to accomplish tasks? That happens 609359843509873459087 times a day.
that soundtrack is beautiful
Ei, ma lihtsalt arvasin, et sa oled kas naissooline või üks neist TÜ lõpetand ""boiii"istest, oma sittade arvamustega.
How do you know? Have you explored every inch of the universe?
Unless some new form of propulsion is discovered that allows us to travel much, much, much faster and more efficiently than is currently possible, space travel is a dead end.
Kukk arvas kah, et muneb. Tegelikult sittus.
I didn't need these feels
Yes, the Moon will be a mining colony.
I will be at one of the Lagrangian points in my comfy colony.
...
>will be
It already is, user.
They will come clean about it in ~10 years.
See We can get to these points with a tiny bump.
Why not think long term? Patience. Do you have to take a plane across the united states to get from point A to B? No, you don't have to, you could take a car and you will still get there even though it takes much longer. You could walk across the united states, and it would take even longer than a car, but you would still get from point A to B with careful planning, and patience.
Whatever is out there, will rock the very foundation of the Human race.
There is no space, only life and you're living it.
Congrats user, this is even dumber than the flat earth theory.
all that infinite wonder
all that potential.
what i wouldent give for just tiny glimpse of whats out there. just to see it. just to observe its glory.
stars that eclipse our own. Night Skies like God himself crafted it.
>What does altruism have to do with space exploration?
Exactly!
>That happens 609359843509873459087 times a day.
I'm only asking for one example user, if it happens so often that should be easy for you to pick one.
I'm beginning to think you might have made that number up.
Also, altruism does not mean "working together to accomplish tasks" the word you're looking for is "cooperation"
>implying we'll ever leave this rock
What, you think this species that can't agree on fucking anything and kills each other over ideological disagreements is going to make it far into space?
Top fucking kek.
It's happening son.
Space exploration has been a joint effort between Russia/US/China for decades now.
imo, we're fucked and will never leave solar system.
neither terraforming Mars.
a way for universe to protect himself against the disease we incarnate.
we would make for some great ruins.
source is Dalang Films "Unearthed"
Get your ass to Mars!
don't be so pessimistic
it's only a very small percentage of humans that get killed
We pretty much live in the in between stage of interstellar travel. We'll likely develop FTL travel or some sort of space travel in the next 100 years.
We just need to survive the coming days. Peace comes from chaos, and the chaos is here.
You don't understand the leap that is required.
Think of all the technological advancement that has occurred since 10,000 BC. All the way back in the caves, till now.
All of that.....put together.....is a smaller leap than the revolution that would be required to actually make deep space travel (by which I mean actually going to another solar system to start long-term colonies) possible. The furthest that any man has ever gone is to the moon, and that's the cosmic equivalent of getting out of bed, stretching, and then going back to bed.
imagine the first manned ftl jump
Nah we will eventually.
But we're still on quarantine for a couple more centuries at least.
All we need is that space elevator, once done, we're set to stat mining asteroids and other shit, and even an easier mars colonization
It's impossible beyond unmanned probes.
RF resonant cavity thrusters have already been proven to accelerate particles past the speed of light and create a warp bubble.
Humanity should unite in peace and prepare for contact with other alien civilizations.
It's is our duty as the master race to discover other alien species, exterminate them, and seize their living space and resources for ourselves.
Those that pose no threat can remain as pets or slaves.
Galaxy wide human-supremacy. We can settle for nothing else.
HAHAHAHA SHE IS SPEAKING DUTCH (BELGIAN)
TOO BAD YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND IT LMAO
SOON.
rare
They've been trying for decades, the harder they try to push it, the more people resist.
ok schlomo
whoops wrong thread I'm retarded
Main problem I find is time dilation. People aren't willing to travel across the galaxy if that means you 're 300 years in the future by the end of the journey.
I am.
>Tfw no one takes you seriously when you threaten to throw rocks at them
>machines
>And the chaos is here
Imagine what people thought in the 1910s-1940s
It's okay within the solar system... but the closest star to our sun is 4 light years away. So even if you travelled a hundred thousand miles per hour, which is impossible, it would still take a thousand years to get there. And I did the math in my head so I might have fucked up, but if anything, it would take longer.
its a good feel.
even if we fail. there is a entire universe of beauty out there.
and they cant touch it. and sometimes. thats enough.
it'll never happen with the current wasteful methods.
The ISS for example will be burnt up in potentially the next 10 years.
when you go further out, just throwing shit away without the ability to manufacture new items will mean certain failure.
Yes, and they are paid to do that. By your tax dollars.
All I'm saying is, space exploration will only become feasible if there is commercial interests at stake.
Read my fucking posts, you fuckwit.
...
It's a crock of shit, we can barely leave our atmosphere.
I feel you user.
I was born too early.
>you will never travel the universe
>you will never soar through space and stare back at the home of humanity, as we spread through the cosmos
I'm a depressed virgin loser and the thought of space exploration keeps me going sometimes
