over the last week rebels have lost between 400 (their sources) and 1000+ (russian/gov. sources), not sure of government or civilian casualties but possibly in the hundreds
they said they killed 150 SAA soldiers in the battle

It can impede strike, not very effectively but it can mask movement of small units, force RuAF pilots to spend more time confirming the target. It won't do anything to bombing of fixed targets but can reduce the effectiveness of CAS.
