Mosquito doesn't even play an important part in our ecosystem. The animals that feed on mosquitos have a pretty wide selection of animals to feed on.

There are other types of mosquitoes you know. I doubt they're as valuable to the ecosystem as you think they are. Other insects will take their place.

On the other hand, I fucking hate mosquitoes with a passion and would love to see them all disappear as soon as possible.

Best way to do this would be to exterminate them in the civilized world and leave them to prosper in Africa to keep the population in check.
