The numbers in these surveys are unreliable.

There was a survey where it looks like Turks hate all other countries. The real reason was that the yes/no question was translated into "Do you love X?" where X was various countries. Of course Turks don't love most other countries.

as you can see from the actual OP's pic, the share of Japanese having a "mainly negative" opinion is not that extreme, it only makes sense that a country like Israel is not really liked by the Japanese and besides, a lot of them don't have a "mainly positive" opinion because they rather take a more neutral stance, see how for example the opinion of wh*te countries is either "mainly positive" or "mainly negative" which could imply that their population has been brainwashed and could also reflect how the current socio-political situation of Israel/Palestine has been politicized as either the good boys or the bad boys
