Was in politics class in the early days of the uprising in Syria. Class discussion about immigration. Tell them I'm not too sure I like the concept of mass immigration because the immigrants often don't contribute to the country's growth, and instead clog the already abused welfare system. Got shutdown by a (Syrian immigrant) classmate saying that maybe they didn't want to contribute and only wanted the passport. Everyone moved on, I didn't.
