I can't speak to anyone else's experience as a "Millennial" but I was always at a complete loss as to dealing with women. I'll admit it.
When I was a child they didn't like me and I didn't like them. We shared no interests, they hated mine, and I hated theirs. Which always seemed normal.
As we grew up, I still hated their interests, and they still hated mine. Giving me very little platform to engage with them. So I had to take my ques from what I observed around me, namely media and the interactions of my peers. But, I morally objected to the behavior of the people who were most successful with women, or at least who were depicted as successful. So I rejected the most successful method, in an attempt to preserve my own morality. Which is just synonymous with preserving my virginity.
I never wanted to be a Chad essentially.
So I was left with no common ground to meet women on, a refusal to compromise my own ideals for the sake of sex, and a lack of urgency because of Porn.
Add all of that up and it will almost never equal sex.
