why does this c(o)untry think its a 1st world developed western nation?
>healthcare shit >prison system huge >gun violence huge >democracy bought and paid for by big business/mega rich >education system redic expensive >personnel freedom index level ranked 31st
compare it to any other 1st world nation, and the USA looks like an african aids tier shit hole.
Why do other countries care so much about a single country?
Kayden Gonzalez
Because we're whiter than you. How are the ostriches and refugees by the way?
Robert Scott
I actually have a lot of admiration for the American political system. It's an amazing example of a presidential system and it's very efficient. Too bad the two-party system turned the country into an oligarchy.
Dylan Brown
>It's an amazing example of a presidential system and it's very efficient.
Benjamin Martin
You forgot how their judicial system is a complete joke, more like a theater and circus not an actual place of justice
Lincoln Miller
The oiligarch system could easily be fixed if lobbying was prohibited
Carson Watson
It unironically is efficient.
Grayson Edwards
I love this argument, stay frosty Tyrone
Christian Sanchez
at least we have mcdonalds
Hunter Carter
Prohibiting something doesn't mean it won't be done. Lobby culture is so deeply established in your country that lobbyists are sure to find workarounds. Actually, never mind that. They run your country, so a law against lobbying will never see the light of day.
Xavier Harris

Don't forget the nearly feudal-tier labour laws where you have a choice of either being homeless or literlaly becoming a slave of your "employer".
>why does this c(o)untry think its a 1st world developed western nation? most likely because of their enormously high purchasing power. And in a society as consumerist as American high purchasing power = decent standard of life
Isaiah Perez

I am from the US. I wouldn't call it first world. I wouldn't call it third world either. To live there is to be stuck in a constant state of limbo. You can be wildly successful or a miserable failure by no fault of your own. I really do hate it sometimes.
As you can see from the flag I know what it's like to be in an actual 3rd world country. The healthcare in the US is embarrassing compared to probably every other first world nation. But I've been in a hospital in the Philippines before and I can tell you it's fucking miserable. While the ones in the US are profit driven and they can bankrupt you at least the people in them actually care about you. The wages in the US are shit compared to Australia, Canada, etc. But if you compare it to the Philippines it's no contest. You can make more working for one hour at McDonald's than most jobs here will pay you for one day.
I really wish I could go to Canada, Australia, or NZ. I hate all of the shit that I have to put up with in the US. But I am still aware it could be so much worse.
Jose Johnson
More americans die to feral cops than australians to spoidahs mate.
Nolan Nelson
>But I've been in a hospital in the Philippines before and I can tell you it's fucking miserable. >While the ones in the US are profit driven and they can bankrupt you at least the people in them actually care about you.
You're ridiculous. If you are out of cash, you might as well bleed out on the street in broad daylight right next to the hospital with nurses and doctors stepping around you as they go get a coffee from starbucks.
Jaxson Edwards
Mcdonalds isn't designed to be a career choice retard, it's the shitty job that kids take while in school. Also a public healthcare system doesn't matter if you land any middle class job with health benefits
Ethan Baker

Hospitals are required by law to care for patients that have no money. They'll get their needed care but the bill will follow them until it's paid
Joshua Powell
That's not how it works. You can go to the emergency room still and get care. If you need some kind of specialized surgery or something and either you don't have insurance or the company finds some bullshit excuse to deny you that treatment you're really fucked. It's bad and indefensible when compared to every other rich country. But it's not as bad as you are saying.
>Advocating that everybody should get healthcare rights for free without earning that right Disgusting

>Also a public healthcare system doesn't matter if you land any middle class job with health benefits And what if you don't?
>Hospitals are required by law to care for patients that have no money. Okay, that's reasonable >They'll get their needed care but the bill will follow them until it's paid Allow me clear this up, whether I understood it correctly. So what you're saying is that they are taken care of, but then they are stuck with a bill they'll never be able to afford to repay, basically ruining their future and life. Really gives a whole new meaning to the term "saving" lives.
Justin Baker
I highly doubt you actually have any true responsibilities in your life. Otherwise you would probably feel like I do. Terrified that it would only take one health crisis to sink you for good. The best answer you have is "lol stop being poor" yet at the same time you are against wage increases that would make that possible. I have no problem with paying high as fuck taxes as long as I actually get something back from them. As of now I get $100 drawn out of every $300 check I get and the only thing I see it going to is welfare, not for people like me but for the greedy corporations that refuse to pay anybody a living wage. It must be nice to be ignorant enough not to know the whole thing is a gigantic fucking scam at your expense. If you even work and contribute to everything at all.
Liam King
>They'll get their needed care but the bill will follow them until it's paid >Allow me clear this up, whether I understood it correctly. So what you're saying is that they are taken care of, but then they are stuck with a bill they'll never be able to afford to repay, basically ruining their future and life.
this is the freedom they yap on about. freedom to get fucked over so hard you have zero chance of recovering, from any random accident. its laughable.
Charles Ross
>Wage increases makes poor people better off Lmao
Jason Anderson
>What if you don't persue a decent middle class job with benefits? They're not hard to find, all it takes is hard work and dedication. If I decide to stay at Burger king for the rest of my life and get in a horrible car accident then it is my fault for making poor career choices
Ryan Collins
No I don't have much responsibility in my life. I have a free ticket in school because i worked hard in high school, the only thing I pay is my rent and utilities. No 19 year old should expect to have a kid at that age if they want to succeed
Andrew Hughes
Compare the social mobility in every other developed nation to that of the United States. We're a joke. I'm lucky to even be in the situation I'm in as shitty as it is. At least I have the chance to pull myself out of poverty because my dad gave me a fucking mobile home. I can't imagine how fucked I would be if a big chunk of my paycheck went to renting an apartment.
Gabriel Gonzalez
That's great for you. I'm sure you worked really hard to be born into a family that supported you and helped you to achieve that.
Asher Brown
You can choose to live in the shit areas of town where rent is only $400/month. Also college is basically for free if you want it that badly
Elijah Baker
yankism is a mental disorder
Adrian Gomez
>Not growing up in a nuclear family Sure family support makes it a lot easier but it doesn't dictate wheather you can succeed or not. I have a friend who lived on his own during his junior and senior years of high school and he now has a full scholarship to a local university.
Levi Roberts
>Everything should be handed to people wheather they work hard or sit on their ass all day Socialism is a mental disorder
Christopher Sanders
There are no shit areas where I'm from. If I move away I lose the support of my family. While that's a blessing and a god dammed curse at the same time it's allowed me to finally find some success. Since I own my trailer I pay only $255 in rent a month. It's ridiculous to think that every poor person can replicate the same favorable circumstances that I have though.
In addition to what I just said my family was basically useless in the past. I didn't start on this specific path until I turned 28 years old. My dad is no longer an alcoholic asshole who beats me, he's just an asshole now. I tolerate him because if I don't I'm on my own when it comes to a lot of things. When the heater in my trailer breaks down I can call him. Imagine that happening to someone at my level of income without someone they can just call to help. Also my sister drives me to work. My goal is to eventually have my own car. Thanks to everything else I already mentioned it's possible to save for that. Hell I even had enough money to take 5 months off of my shitty job and come here to the Philippines to get married. I can still pay all of my bills too.
But imagine that from the perspective of a person without any help. You're fucked if you're on your own. I know that well enough. I can tell you all about what it's like to go more than a week without eating.
Carter Bennett
Why are you paying for internet?
Jacob Cox
I am only paying for internet while I'm here in the Philippines. Back home I leech off of my neighbor's wifi. Not even joking. I rigged up a solution using a raspberry pi and a USB adapter that supports wireless ac. It shares the connection from the USB adapter to my router over the ethernet port.
Adrian Perez
Why would you voluntarily be in the Philippines?
Jason Mitchell
I lived here in the past. My life was complete shit in my early 20s and I felt like it was completely hopeless. I got approved for social security disability checks but trying to live off of $740 a month in the US is an exercise in misery. I came here where $125 a month can get you a two bedroom townhouse and picked up my life from there.
I'm back here because I am marrying my fiancee and taking care of the visa paperwork.
Brody Morgan
>But I've been in a hospital in the Philippines >Philippines I found your problem.
John Powell
That's probably why you see ads on some Filipino cable channels sometimes for hospitals in Bangkok.
Jordan Gonzalez
Even your private heathcare is shit though. Who wants to go to a hospital where even an IV bag costs an exorbitant amount?
Jacob Phillips
What's worse is they are so brainwashed by their TV to vote against their own best interests
Daniel Russell
Only the people dumb enough to watch Fox News are. Unfortunately due to the way the electoral college works they have a lot of influence despite being a minority.
Lincoln Walker
Bullshit. The next superpower is looking to be either India or China and they don't have that European streak of seeking war and destruction to all corners of the world. They are pretty insular and haven't needed colonisation to secure international trade.
Sebastian Allen
Your police are required by law to protect and serve but we've all seen how the law and reality are at odds with each other.

>healthcare Better than yours for all but the poorest dregs of society. >prison system It is crowded because American justice is just. >gun violence A non-issue for the average non-gangbanging, non-ghetto dweller - i.e. for 99% of the (non-black, non-latino) population. Furthermore, it is an irrelevant metric, because homicide is homicide, regardless of the tools used to commit it. >democracy No more bought and paid for than your democracy. >education system Affordable for the sufficiently gifted; if you score in the 50th percentile, you are unlikely to graduate from a difficult (i.e. STEM) program and thus receive few scholarships, federal aid or state aid. In short: idiots don´t go to school in your country either, moron. >"freedom index" Why don´t you take a look at the metrics used in most of those supposed "freedom"-indexes.
Americans have a right to defend their life, liberty and property with arms, while you are forced to bend over and hope for the best. Americans have a right to speak their mind, while you have hate speech laws. Americans are safe and secure in their home and property (4th amendment), while police barge in and confiscate anything on any grounds in your literal police state lacking in civil liberties.
Landon Sanders
>IRS consist of people, people are corruptable. The federal government isn´t filled to the brim with corrupt people, user. I wouldn´t expect you to understand this as a Russian, but that´s just the way it is. State and local government may contain the occasional bad apples, but the feds play in a different league and its employees have a different mindset.
Jose Butler
Pretty much this. If the US falls or does some stupid shit that effects the economy, the rest of world feels it bad.

>jobs very good >health care the best if you pay >gun violence you can defend yourself, no deed to cry for the daddy state >prison system who commit crimes have to be punnished >democracy the best constitution and on of the best check and balances >education system again you have to pay, nothing is free >personnel freedom index level on of the best, I can guess who made this index
Carson Hill
>healthcare:shit If you are poor or not covered by your employers.
>prison system:huge Blame California and the authoritarian war on drugs.
>gun violence Ghetto trash and drug war. Only relevant to people who live in ghettos and the government.
>democracy:bought and paid for by big business/mega rich
Don't forget the well-connected and what not. That is how most countries run whether you like it or not. However, do you really expect democracy in a country of this size, with most of the population being either too retarded, too busy, or too uninterested to care into what they are voting on? We are a republic.
>education system: expensive And an exceptional waste of my time for the previous 12 years. Fuck I hated it. College is better and I had good enough grades to get a scholarship.
>personnel freedom index level: ranked 31st
Which one, there's a good number of indexes that will rate the countries on how liberal (classical) they are.

Daniel Long
Parliament doesn't have to agree to get things passed. At best, if the government has a very slim majority, ruling MPs could vote against the party whip and risk censure. But there is no analogue I know of for the American situation where you literally have different bodies of government in the hands of different, non-cooperative parties. There are many words you could use to describe this sort of presidential system but efficient is not one of them.
Grayson Bennett
>me smash you

Zachary Ross
But army is number one and if they would want that they can make nuclear desert out of the kangaroo boy country.

Meh, life goes on. Trump and Democrats dicking off about dreamers and what not. I couldn't really give a damn about the dreamers. The shutdown doesn't do a whole much beyond giving a bunch of government employees and extended break and pay without work (in the form of some sort of refund).
Please do explain to me how you government elects officials. Folks like the supreme court judges, parliament representatives, prime minister, etc etc. I have to do say your country was a bit divided over the ol' Brexit. But just like over here, life goes on. At worst, the US could have a minor shutdown for a good 24-48 hours this coming Monday-Tuesday.
Joseph Martinez
>implying it has that much to do with the dreamers
The freedom caucus did this not the dems. Friendly reminder for easily fooled ignorant dumbasses like yourself. The Republicans control all 3 branches of government and can pass anything they damn well please. You are a fucking moron and should stop talking.
Josiah Roberts
>"healthcare study" >without a doubt includes metrics such as "availability", which by default favors countries with socialized healthcare Why don´t you take a second to read the study your picture cites.
Healthcare is not a right - it is a service. If you are a lazy bum, you only deserve medicare and medicaid.
Aiden Sanders
Dat cockhole tongue inside his master's ass.

How the fuck can an american justify that employer only pay health care when you have a good paying job otherwise you are fucked, yet in Europe even BurgerKing cleaning personnel have compulsory health care paid by their employer. Its beyond me why americans think this. Whats their problem. It works just fine here, why wouldnt it be working over there
Ryan Stewart
I was speaking of American justice in general.
In my country, assault nets you a 2-3 year sentence, while tax fraud will land you in the slammer for the same amount of time. Pedophiles serve less time than tax evaders; murderers are pardoned after 10-15 years, and defending yourself against violent scum earns you a 1-2 year stay in the slammer.
A more just sentencing criteria (found in most US states) would be 10 year for assault, 3 years for tax evasion, 20 years for sexual abuse of a child and 30 years to life for murder, without possibility of parole before serving 20 years.
Sebastian Cook
Medicaid is quite fantastic actually. I've been on it for years and I never had to pay for anything. I'm far from a lazy bum but I wouldn't mind if those high ass taxes I pay went to giving it to everyone. Not even sure what the fuck you are given your flag but you sure are a cunt. Seen you around sucking the dick of the US even though you live in a country with a much better system. If it's so great why don't you live there Sup Forumsshit?
