It's all about lining pockets. The army will likely pour money into the company developing this platform, they will order a nominal amount to justify the initial expenditure, and it will never see the battlefield. Just like the vast majority of military R&D.

While it looks more capable than big dog I don't really see it carrying much at all with a weapon platform. The weapon platform seems like an afterthought.

Like I said, use automation in the warehouses and other logistical areas. Itll be better there until solid undeniable platforms (if they ever) come through.

I think that what happened here was, that DARPA needed to produce something for the army this year to keep their budged flowing, doesn't matter what was produced as long as something came out of that place.
After all, military spending is kinda retarded subject and often money is spent just for the sake of using up the budget.

The #1 problem with remote controlled shit is that they're completely useless if the opponent has any sort of ewar capabilities.
Transmit a stronger signal on the same frequency that's used to control it and bam, it's useless. No need to crack the encoding or anything, as long as you flood out the real signal the thing's as useful as a tank without crew.
