New US Army combat robot. How long before they completely replace human soldiers and we are at the mercy of unfeeling killing machines directly controlled by the elite?

no one gives a fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
dunno mate, but at this point im just happy were on the same side
thats not a robot
it's a remotely operated vehicle
...
>Robot
>Still manned operation
That's less of a robot than a fucking drone.
I hope that's a reserve tank in the front.
that's a generator
he's standing right behind it you fucking idiot
Guess you couldn't find a spot more vulnerable? There goes 100 billion $ American tax money
>manned operation
>robot
are you autistic?
wouldn't a humvee stocked with 1t-4 rockets be better than a humvee stocked with one of these stupid robots?
I think drone grenades would be a better weapon.
>give DARPA trillions of dollars in funding for military R&D
>wait several years for them to conceptualize a weapon and design it
>DARPA finally presents the fruit of their efforts
>it's a tank... with the soldiers on the outside!
Why do these idiots get money again?
they look like stupid cousin fuckers
yea but it's not like he is riding it and I assume it can be remotely operated
You can't crack a soldier's programming via wifi.
that's debatable
I-IT'S A BETA THEY'LL FIX IT
>unfeeling machines controlled by the elite
China already has an army.
Might be good for civil war
Having these things run around in the streets mowing down angry muzzies would be a fun sight, plus it doubles as a turret for camps and such.
How is this any different than those movable emplacement weapons ZE JOYMANZ used in WW2, other than it has a Honda engine and cost 923759023875 times as much?
Kek
The Matrix is real.
Skynet is real.
This is a prophecy which has been rewritten many times.
...
> using automation on the battlefield
If they were really smart theyd replace the manpower in logistics to free up hands to fight
Unless it aims and shoots by itself, I remain unimpressed.
told you it was remotely operated faggot
If the gun can't work on its own, what's the point?
It could be a useful mule and IED nuetralizer tho
MY FUCKING SIDES.
Holy shit, at least when the handicapped Russians made doors for their APCs out of FULL TANKS OF PETROL, they had the vodka-clouded foresight to put them on the back.... Jesus wept.
"The wars of the future will not be fought on the battlefield or at sea. They will be fought in space, or possibly on top of a very tall mountain. In either case, most of the actual fighting will be done by small robots. And as you go forth today remember always your duty is clear: To build and maintain those robots"
Stop kiting, n00b.
I wonder how long until ISIS gets their hands on one?
instead of making human kill each other
we made robot to kill each other
you mean the toyota trucks they have with machine guns mounted?
>a mobility scooter for your gun
america pls
...
>""if they ever come for our guns""
>creation of civilian militias
>military personnel will defect to join civilians
>white leftists and other races along with bots replace defectors
>KILL ALL REBELS (AGAIN)
>Make America Great Again
MFW
But it does.
It can recognize targets set by the soldiers in its group since they;re all connected.
Na, we make robot to kill African child soldier and mudslime suicide bomber.
yes, as wells as the military tents they use sense we like to leave things behind.
>manually operated
>probably unable to be effectively used in movement
>slow
>a noisey Honda generator in the front to power it
What the fuck were they thinking when designing this? Hoping for awesome fuel cells in future to make it no so shit anymore?
That's just Diet Coke. Tell McDonald's drive through to fill it up when you take a break from killing hajis.
You guys don't even MURICA.
Looks more like a mobile for what would usually be a stationary emplacement.
I'm pulling a Clancy here I have no idea what this shit means.
maybe it's just a prototype
I don't quite see the point of that. You might as well have put it on a golf cart, and saved hundreds of millions in R&D. It's not even armored.
Look at that careful aim while he's shooting blank rounds..
Remind me of the xm25 and how it was supposed to be a gamechanger...
Meanwhile in Russia
Don't worry, for a small fee you can buy the new and optimized 2.0 version that will fix all this problems.
...
It's not a generator for the device you fuck wads, it's a back up or can be used for other shit.
You think that tiny generator can lug around all that shit?
It's all about lining pockets. The army will likely pour money into the company developing this platform, they will order a nominal amount to justify the initial expenditure, and it will never see the battlefield. Just like the vast majority of military R&D.
>You have 20 seconds to comply...
>go down stairs
OUT SKILLED
...
It's only a matter of time.
well we sure look like a bunch of jackasses now.
>putting the generator unprotected in the front
We can really see the effect of
>You now realize this is what google bought that boston robotics place for.
>They're developing versions that can navigate in the woods
I-it's a Honda generator though. Cheap and study!
Nowhere to hide.
>If the gun can't work on its own, what's the point?
You can take heavy fucking weapon and shitload of ammo with you?
>controlled by the elite?
nigga, the 1% can't program. the robots will be controlled by the 1337.
While it looks more capable than big dog I don't really see it carrying much at all with a weapon platform. The weapon platform seems like an afterthought.
Sadly, this would likely happen even if it was higher. Even these places have affirmative action quotas.
Stupid Nigger Quotas
whatever happened to Keep It Simple Stupid?
they aren't cheap
...
While being a huge target?
Fuck tha polic..... *boom*
Maybe they can put some shield on it. Idk. But potential is huge in my opinion.
looks like garbage
>oh look, try carrying that towards the battlefield!
>undulkating ground? well, looks like you're fucked
>better have the engineers on hand when the tracks inevitably break!
>better hope it can take an rpg shot, go faster then 2 miles per hour, or at least have an autopilot if you need to get back home with casualties/ emergency evacuations!
literally garbage
kill all xenos
Perhaps, but a twenty dollar rpg can destroy that thing and the operator(s).
Like I said, use automation in the warehouses and other logistical areas. Itll be better there until solid undeniable platforms (if they ever) come through.
Is that remote operated as well?
I know that Russian speznaz have been using thos small robots that have a machine gun and a rocket launcher attached to it, but haven't heard about the military using them.
...
fucking genius, did this guy head the weapons development program?
he literally accomplished in 5 seconds of religious fervour the same concept and mechanic that this robot provides for 3 million dollars of difference
>3 million
We overpay for these things by a rate of at least x5 base costs. That thing in OPs webm probably cost more than clinton campaign
This is not a robot. It is a Gatling gun with tank tripod
>spend $500bn to create division of UGVs and UAVs to pummel jihadis without putting your men at risk
>Abu Mohammed ibn Siddiqi, by Allah's permission, defeats them all at once with a broken microwave
>implying they can afford a microwave in Afghanistan
>$20
>RPG
You fucking handicapped cunt.
>those wobbly "eyes"
Go back to base, robot tank. You are drunk.
Regardless that's cool as shit, they could really light them sandniggers up with that.
Germany pioneered this concept over 70 years ago.
Youre right in the middle east/africa they sell all their rpgs for MSRP. I dont know the production price of an rpg, but the point stands. Go away
>How long
We're already here.
You know how easy those things are to make? Get a Mechanic and and Electrician in the same room and bam you have robots with the ability to be remotely piloted. Slap a gun on that and you have a robot.
I'm in school to build these.
>A fuckhuge manually operated gun platform which provides absolutely no cover for the user.
>Doesn't even look like it's fit to carry anything bigger than ammo boxes with that idiotic design.
>WW2 Germans already had a remote operated mini tank ages ago.
What the fuck are you doing America?
This is practically an awkward looking RC car with a manually operated gun on top of it.
I think that what happened here was, that DARPA needed to produce something for the army this year to keep their budged flowing, doesn't matter what was produced as long as something came out of that place.
After all, military spending is kinda retarded subject and often money is spent just for the sake of using up the budget.
americans are too fat to carry guns on their own
If armies get automated to the point where they're all robots and machinces, what happens in a war between two such armies?
The #1 problem with remote controlled shit is that they're completely useless if the opponent has any sort of ewar capabilities.
Transmit a stronger signal on the same frequency that's used to control it and bam, it's useless. No need to crack the encoding or anything, as long as you flood out the real signal the thing's as useful as a tank without crew.
Good for killing camelherders with AK's I guess.
...
Might as well just play Counterstrike and determine the winner from that..
fukken kek
This looks ineffective as fuck. Just put that gatling gun on top of a shopping cart just like ISIS do, for fucks sake.
Why don't you spend that money for bio-tech and engineer your own zergling army?
It becomes a case of seeing who has the best manufactoring capacity.
FRIENDLY RC-XD INBOUND!
That seems impractical as fuck. Those fags would killed ten times in a normal combat while that shit slowly crawls on the ground.
Just wait untill I upgrade it.
Still needs a guy to shoot it... this isn't an automated killing machine so much as a mobile weapons platform.
