Your favorite show's Fan Autism

>fan makes OC.
>they're MC's best friend/lover.

Mlp is my favorite show and some faggot mod banned its discussion on a fucking cartoon board

>they're a character's sibling or an actual clone of them

>they use guns in a setting where nobody uses guns

>shipping

>fan makes OC.
>emo edgelord/scenekid
>overpowered-as-fuck and secret love interest of MC

Had this issue on a Mlaatr forum where one kid had an OC who was Jenny's boyfriend. He spammed this in all the role play threads, and no one else could have an OC in love with her.

What a fuck fest.

>Fan OC is MC's secret fetish slave

>Fan OC
>He's the main attraction of the whole show and is incredibly OP

I'm actually ok with this. It'd be weirder if it was an actual character.

Is there such a thing as good fan content but with OCs?

>OC is a multiverse traveller that is friends with every show MC.
>actually boasts this like it's real.

>Is there such a thing as good fan content but with OCs?
Some of the Super Robot Wars games.

When the creator actively works to balance his character, or make them relatable.

>OC is one of the MC's daughter

>THE STORM logo is just a cropped out stock photo of a lightning storm

>makes a blog for his OC as if they have a fan base.
>gets upset when he has no followers.

>artfag or Youtubefag gets asshurt when something they upload gets more likes/favorites than they have followers

Not necessarily an OC thing, but you reminded me of this self-entitled bullshit.

>self-entitled
I never considered that. That would explain a lot.

Like where do these people get off thinking thier creation is the greatest shit?

>Awesome, invincible, power incarnate, supreme lover...
>OMG why doesn't anyone like it?
Ass.

...

>user makes a thread complaining about various cliches
>nobody ever actually explains or even discusses why said cliches are bad

>there's nothing bad with being a green Sonic who wears 200 piercings and a black jacket and carries a sniper rifle on his back because nobody feels the need to explain why it's bad

>The OC defies things cannon to the comic or shows plot
>Regular characters not acting the way they should in fan fictions

>fan makes OC.
>He/she is a key element in a canon character's story, overriding established canon as it seems fit

>calling them OCs.
They are often far from original.

>the problem
Everyone can make an OC and RP or write fanfiction, and that's okay.
It goes wrong when the creator is overly aggressive/narcissistic with their character. They poison the harmony of the community with thier entitlement. The fun ends.

They are like the spoiled brat who flips the game board when things don't go thier way, or they are called out on thier bullshit.

Aren't there threads where Sup Forums riffs on OC's and the terrible art dedicated to them?

>the OC is/was an "official" character
His design was better when he was literally just Sonic with generic bad-boy clothes.

>it has things I don't like, that means it's automatically bad

See, THIS is a perfectly reasonable complaint against an OC. If they break the rules or the writer makes preexisting characters act like assholes for the sake of their ship or something, then that's bullshit.

Thing is, that's not necessarily the case. You just assume it is, thus in your mind, OCs are inherently bad, when they're really not.

Okay then. Pick a show.

What are the best OCs you've seen for it? Is the creator a decent person?

Alternatively, which are the worse OCs? What's wrong with the creator?

>What are the best OCs you've seen for it? Is the creator a decent person
Tempo, AKA Quake Woman from Archie Mega Man. Her story is actually pretty solid, she's an enjoyable character, and her arc establishes an important thematic connection to Proto Man's storyline. And I'd say Ian Flynn is an alright guy. Bit of a turbonerd, but otherwise decent.

>Alternatively, which are the worse OCs? What's wrong with the creator?
Name just about any of the OCs from Crash Bandicoot Retold. They're all bland, pointless filler with no character and no actual reason to be in the story. And the creator, Super Saiyan Crash is kind of terrifying in how utterly out of touch with reality he is.

90% of fan characters are terrible. At the very least 1 or 2 of the things mentioned in this thread usually applies to them, and they're more often than not an outlet for the creator's power fantasies than an actual well thought out creation that fits in with the setting and tone of the universe it's supposed to be in.
Mind you, the only reason I didn't say that 100% of them are bad is because there's no way I can know about every OC ever made, so I'm just assuming there are good fan characters out there, although I've never seen one.

tfw your favorite show has little to no autistic fans

>MC is written without any regard for life
>There goal is to fuck every in the series
>to death [spoiler

Is Scourge still a thing? I only know that the sonic comics had their own crisis event I like his second jacket

Link to one such story?

I meant fan creations, not ones by people who get paid for it.

>fan autism

Easy.

/aco/ drawthreads.

The worst drawthreads of the site, everybody is always fighting over meanless shit and trying to drive people away in the hope that an artist will draw his waifu for the 133# time.

The faggots are also entitled as fuck.

>waifufag
>unironically shops them with their waifu
>posts on fb talking as if they were really dating

He hasn't shown up since the reboot.

Speaking of MLaaTR, there's dressguy. Obsessed with the one episode where Jenny wears a dress. He always posts broken English replies that make no sense and he'll be having a conversation with himself once he's driven everyone out of the thread.

>requests his OC fucking thier waifu.
>thier own deviantArt page is loaded with thier own terrible attempts to draw it.
That desperation...

>Sex scene
>"m-my hips are moving on there own!"

I used to do all this when I was 13 with a self insert, but I grew out of it fairly quickly when I realized everyone else did it, and it was stupid.

>That guy who drew trap porn of Bugsy the cat as a mentally damaged trap

>those drawings
>13

you dont just 'draw good' out of nowhere user

Yeah man, I was garbage-tier back then. I mean, even back then that wasn't my best, but there is no defending it. And I thought it was so good anyway. I wish I had that confidence now, I'm an independent artist now, and I've worked with companies like Coke before, and I feel like everything I draw is an abomination after it's completed.

Yeah, I remember one where the OC was a new member of a group and wasn't focused on in anyway, just kind of there.

>Fan fiction
>Characters are in school

What if the show took place in a school setting?

>main antagonist is the school bully

I'm a concept artist and the only way to battle this feeling is to just mercilessly push yourself to your very limit. After that, nothing else matters, cause you did everything you could.

Penders owns the concept of "Evil Sonic"

You should at least have basic motor skills down by the age of pre-pubescence.

>draws porn of their OC.
>calls it fanservice.
For who? FOR WHO?!

themselves I guess?

Keked

"You're like no one I've ever met."
"I love you [waifu]".
"I love you too, [writer's name]."
>extremely graphic sex scene.

Stuff like this can be funny, cringe, and pitiful at the same time.

This speaks for itself.

A true American classic!

Penders also is under the impression that he owns the concept of the multiverse. Just saying.

I remember doing that shit when I was twelve. Glad I was too socially awkward to publicly post any of it

>Fan created OC beats up MC
>Takes the mantle as the new MC

>fan makes an OC
>friends with the creator's self insert

tfw your favorite show has a small fanbase but it's filled with incest shippers and pedophiles

The fanfic was gold

Which show?

Tfw your favorite show haa 100% autistic fans.

...

Based on my gut feeling, Loud House.

Then again, it could be a lot of shows.
