Hey, Germany

Hey, Germany.

What exactly are the details behind the whole thing where you can get punished for nazi imagery or mentioning Hitler?
Why is it like that and do your people not realize the painful and hilarious irony behind it?

You can say "Hail Hitler" and "Gas the Jews" all day long if you want to what is illegal is saying it publicly. You can also own as many Nazi flags or symbols as you want as long as in your home it isn't illegal. "Verbotsgesetz" is just a ban on Nationalsocialist Propaganda because it is understood to be a call to murder/violence the latter of which is illegal in almost every country

>do your people not realize the painful and hilarious irony behind it?
What is the irony behind it exactly that you are hinting at?

It boils down to the simple question: "Would you want the country to be led by NAZIs, even if they won the elections, legitimately"

As it turns out, the answer is, "NEIN!"

The US have to pretend they have freedom of speech and all that "tolerant to everything" bullshit. So instead, what they do is, they get FBI agents to infiltrate all white supremacist movements to monitor them and if necessarily bring them down.

Really? You can scream "Heil Hitler" and wear stuff with nazzi simbolic only in time nobody hear and see that? woh.

It's also a matter of pure self preservation. Our millitary never recoverd from WW2, the murder of ethnic minority would be the final nail in the coffin for germany and austria. The allies do not mess around, they don't tolerate that shit anymore and we're already at our second chance.

>Really? You can scream "Heil Hitler" and wear stuff with nazzi simbolic only in time nobody hear and see that? woh.
No, only when the public isn't involved. You can do it infront of guests, friends and family all you want.

>can get punished for nazi imagery or mentioning Hitler?
Do you actually know what you are talking about? Its about the context, its about the context you are implying. If you are writing things like "gas the jews" or "hitler dindu nuffin" along with posting nazi picture, you may be punished for that
You seem like you are mad because poltards like you can't be edgy anywhere, hope you get fucked by law fir being such dumb assholes

it's not as awful as majority of people think. Though the very fact that it exists is an insult to muh freedoms. Majority of the time the police don't want to bother with arresting/ fining you if you say "heil hitler" or perform a nazi salute in public but they will come over and tell you to knock it off. If you continue then yeah that's when they'll start to take action but creating a public disturbance and directly disobeying police officers landing you in hot water is nothing too new.

Do we get punished for mentioning hitler? No that's silly. Will we get punished for going around hitting those fat reverse dabs (what I call nazi salutes) and screaming heil hitler yes it's very likely.

t. kraut on a holiday

so what if the merkel came to your house and you nazi salute her while still inside your home?

Fighting a supposedly unfree ex-government by becoming an unfree government.
Kinda ironic that foreigners always point that out even though they know best how bad it was. They just need a reason to mock you.

Might I add that this is in a public context. If you invite some guests over to your house and start making gassing the jew jokes and saying how hitler is an amazing guy the police aren't going to smash down your door and raid you.

>Why is it like that and do your people not realize the painful and hilarious irony behind it?

You do realize that it was the allied occupiers which included these provisions into law when they wrote our post-war constitution, right? Or are you really this historically ignorant?

>so what if the merkel came to your house and you nazi salute her while still inside your home?

I can kick her out, but nothing much I can really do, i would have to convince the judge that I as a single person constitue the public because my home is not Merkels private Home and depending on the situation that interpretation may be granted. But In reality that would never happen, because the other person can just say "I never did that" and then it's my word against hers.

I misunderstood your question. No there is nothing she can do about it, unless the jusge interprets my salute as a threat to violence towards merkel.

When I was younger and edgier I was always going around and Heil Hitlering everyone without fail beyond my 6th beer. Never got me in any trouble. You can buy Hitler masks and shit for carnival, only the swastika is illegal I think

In Japan, Japanese are trying to revise the Constitution (preserving arms and banning war) that the occupation forces made.
Won't Germany try to revise such laws and constitutions?

>Its about the context, its about the context you are implying.
Why do they remove swastikas in American games about WWII then? I heard they removed all of them from CoD: WWII because of German laws.

It isn't actually illegal, there just never been a precedent and comapnies want to make it virtually impossible to be sued. Kind of like how they remove skeletons in chinese published videogames.

>Gschichten aus Ostdeutschland

Are attributes of the Second Empire forbidden in Germany?

Thanks, I truly love the Wilhelm II. We still commemorate him in Doorn.
