If you need convincing why a Nolan movie isn't good, you're a raging plebeian manchild.
You realise the message is that the kind of hyper masculinity embodied by Tyler Durden is bad right?
Well I don't hate this movie, I just think it's an average movie with good acting and ok-ish music but that's all. Just give me reason to think this is a masterpiece
Tyler Durden isn't a representation of why hyper-masculinity is bad. It's simply the fact that he's so pushed to the edge and moving so fast that the Narraters own mentally weak side is terrified of going along for the ride and he loses control, at least in the book.
In the book especially, project mayhem had expanded to such an immense level across every man in civilization that it almost seemed possible for them to succeed.
