Isn't this the most forgettable superhero movie ever?
How did it manage to land a sequel?
Isn't this the most forgettable superhero movie ever?
No.
Made money.
you want forgettable, try Jonah Hex.
>Isn't this the most forgettable superhero movie ever?
Yes,by far
>How did it manage to land a sequel?
130 million budget + 500 million box office = sequel
Cheap movie making easy money, cheep will eat.
I watched it expecting shit and was pleasantly surprised. It was decent and the briefcase fight was kino.
Fuck you its a nice fun movie with a sweet emotional core about a guy who is actually a superhero.
We had a chance for giantess content and interaction while shrunk with Evangeline Lilly, but they dropped the ball and there was nothing. That's why I didn't like this movie.
>ywn see the kino that Edgar Wright would have made
>ywn see Wright direct a legitimate capeflick because Marvel treated him like shit
>Isn't this the most forgettable superhero movie ever?
That's not Thor 2.
>How did it manage to land a sequel?
By being fun, it's a heist movie. Look at how many movies Ocean's 11 spawned,
There's a lot of potential for that in the sequel.
Lets ignore the fact it was taking him half a decade to make the actual movie.
It was just another Iron Man movie(a pretty shitty one)
>Stomped by giant jailbait. I know guys who'd pay to die like this...
i'd say the thor films are far more forgettable. i actually remember stuff that happened in ant-man. the only things i remember from the two thor movies are natalie portman not needing to be in them.
I thought it was one of the better marvel flicks tbqh
>decide to watch them
>hey that's kat dennings
>hope for some great tit action at some point
>wears a huge coat/jumper for two fucking movies
>cuck man
Who was the giantess?
Thor 2 was fomulaic, but why do people pan the first Thor? Its an emotional family story instead of a big dumb action movie, there's some fun comedy, character development, and a lighthearted tone that felt reminiscent of Spider-Man 2 to me.

The only serious flaw was all the dutch angles
I thought it was going to be the most original MCU movie but in the end was the most generic one.
The first Thor is actually capekino. Kenneth Branagh nailed the Wagnerian Norse mythology/action sci-fi blend.

look at those 2 trailer, they even have the bad guy saying the same sentence
>i will kill everyone you love
Stature, she is Scott's daughter and was in the movie but as a little girl.
But thats not Doctor Strange?
>The first Thor is actually capekino.
its actually one of the better marvel capeshits.
I was kinda dissapointed in the Thor vs Loki fight, but the part where Loki lets go of the hand was great
whats wrong with it?
>130 million budget
>Cheap movie
you spoiled kids you
It was the most generic one until 2016, MCU is getting more and more generic, Spiderman is possibly even more generic than Dr strange
did you ironically forget about Hulk and Thor?
I havent seen Spider-Man, but I dont think Ant-Man was generic. It used the first Iron Man movie's formula (which both Antman and Strange did) but made itself distinct with the heist angle and wildly different characters and action. But youre right with how its getting worse over time because when Doctor Strange tried to differentiate itself, it did so with two setpiece moments and felt completely bland otherwise. So one is a good example and the other is bad, I actually like Ant Man a lot. But im a comic nerd so there's bias.
Stop making fun of Thor
>Fight vs destroyer was ridiculous
>Loki is a shitty villain(I want dah power because I'm a bad boy!"
>It was rushed as fuck
>it erased Donald blake story
>black nordic gods
>shitty choreography
>Christopher Hemsworth is too generic and limited, looks like thor is never really sad in the entire movie
Look at this shit, even revenge of the sith got more realistic fights, looks like they're not even trying to hit each other
youtube.com
>be a marvel flick
>typical quipfest and everything is formulaic
>everyone forgets it in a year or two
>dc film
>everyone keeps talking about it years later
Really fires them neurons. Shame Wonder Woman stole marvel's formula.
The destroyer fight was about Thor getting his power back, not the fight itself. Just like how this fight scene is saved by the emotional stuff after it, and imo the actors are hamming it up so its fun. Loki's motivation was the same as from the funny books, I dont think it was bad. Thor was really good at being smug and charming.
Why are you surprised people are still discussing two of the worst flicks of the decade, SS and BvS?
Loki literally kills himself because he doesn't get his father's approval, how is it "I want dah power cuz im bad"
>discussion
>apologists and people baiting for replies they know they will get because of how bad the movie is
He killed himself because his plan failed.
It's pretty good, has more heart than most marvel and the smaller scale helps, plus a classic 60s marvel feel
Reed's Ant-Man > > > > Anything by the Russos
That doesnt make sense, he would of offed himself sooner then instead of right when Odin said "No, Loki"
>Reed's Ant-Man > > > > Anything by the Russos
They compliment each other
Before that he still had a chance to get away, at this scene he was already fucked, he was going to jail for trying to take over asgard.
The timing and his reaction is clearly based on what Odin is saying to him, as well as the entire rest of the movie setting up that he just wants Odin's approval. I dont understand where youre getting this.
Oh I remember, that scene was fucking retarded, Odin the wisest one couldn't see that telling that wouldn't make more likely to Loki an hero.
What? What is so hard to understand? Before that scene he could get away, now he was fucked,Odin was going to send him to jail and there was no other escape route.
If you walk into this movie expecting it to be shit, you actually leave pleasantly surprised.
>an hero
He was being a dad and explaining why Loki was wrong, I dont see a problem with it
Because, like I said, it ties into Loki's entire character arc the entire movie was setting up and you're the only person i've talked to that had this interpretation. so I just find it confusing. But yea I guess it could be looked at like that, it just ignores the character development set up prior and makes him less of a character. I just watched the movie however and didnt get your impression at all.
it was kino
>But yea I guess it could be looked at like that, it just ignores the character development set up prior and makes him less of a character
He lied to everyone at the entire movie, look what he did to his ice daddy.
haha
I like thor 2
youtube.com
It's my favorite Marvel movie alongside Iron Man 1.
damn this looks like an eisenstein film
you're easily entertained, ain't you
Yes, but I also appreciate artistic movies with merit. I do this weird thing where I allow myself to have fun.
It is probably one of the more forgettable ones but its actually better than quite a few Marvel movies.
>Ant-man
> artistic movies with merit
Beyound autism
I was saying Ant-Man is not one of those movies but I still enjoy it, what is reading comprehension you idiot.
Ant-Man is a masterpiece you retarded piece of shit.
>bvs had 260 million budget
>didn't crack a billion
and they're still making an expanded universe that will be larger than marvel's.
