I thought the way Maron delivered the line of "I can't tell if you're hot or not" was the perfect way to sum up how she is supposed to look in the show. The way they do her make up where she looks kind of sickly and dressed down works perfectly with Maron's reaction. Sometimes she looks hot, because she is, other times the make up that's supposed to be her bad skin makes her look ugly.
