Good non-Japanese, non-American, animated movies.
Those two countries represent the lion's share of good animated movies so it's neat to learn about the outliers.
Snow Queen is the best thing from Russia.

I came to post this
Great pick, my sister recommended it to me before she went crazy, it's rather comfy as it brings me back to a simpler time
Enjoy OP, for I have nothing left to offer
>america
>good animated movies
lel. try any asian or european country instead
Is that the good goyim version of the terrible (((frozen)))?
Yeah that's why no one talks about those fucking movies. Any place on that internet that discusses animation will be like 99% Japanese and American stuff.
The other countries take decades to make a single movie that anyone ever remembers.
They are based on the same myth but very modified. There is an evil snow queen, a frozen heart healed by love, and the threat of an endless winter. That's where the similarities end. One of the differences is the Snow Queen is not a whiny, self-looathing child that has her evil redeemed. She is confident and enjoys destroying people's happiness.
The movie is only mediocre. The snow queen herself is awesome and carries the whole movie. But everyone else in the movie is so boring I can't remember a single scene they had without the Queen..
USA USA USA USA USA
Name of the film?
>see one thing
>it's the best thing
Well what's better?
WATERSHIP DOWN
i think pointed out the bad stuff of capitalism and the bad stuff of communism at the same time during the height of the cold war. They don't make movies like this anymore. just fart jokes and spiderman and elsa
And if it's non-CG, then all you really have left is Japan these days.
If I want to learn about economics I'll read a fucking book on the subject. I'm not going to watch a cartoon about talking rabbits. Saying you learned about capitalism from a cartoon makes you sound like you have a learning disability.
There's still 2D animated movies made in Europe. Just not a lot.
Maîtres du Temps (Masters of Time)
Art design by Möebius (of Panzer Dragoon fame) and starring a 70s Roger Waters who lifts.
...
shame the last 20 minutes or so feels so rushed
why did you write frozen in parentheses?
It means that the movie is created by a group of higher beings. It's a sign of respect.
What was his endgame?
Space Gundam V saga (South Korea)

The kid? He died of radiation poisoning when England was nuked.

France obviously.
Suicide shop
Persepolis

This is my favorite soviet cartoon, used to scare the shit out of me as a kid.
what about animal farm?
12 tasks was one of my favorite films as a kid
looked up the trailer.
Looks pretty cool
Felidae
a german cat-crime animated movie
it's far from perfect; filled with cliches; but it's a nice flick
youtube.com
it terrified a generation of german kids, because apparently the people at the tv stations didn't really look inot what it was, before airing it on a satruday afternoon, advertising it as a kids movie
...
This movie so damn good. One of the few cases where I really prefer the swedish dub though and it's not most availible thing in the world, which is a shame. The english version is on youtube I believe.
FUCK. THAT. SHIT.
that whole sequence has to be one of the funniest things ever put to film

Great cyberpunk
Probably the most beautiful animated movie I've seen in a while.
Kirikou and the Witch
get comfy
Tintin / Kuifje animated (Belgian)
probably my favorite when i was a kid
In France we have some good animation:
La planete sauvage
Kirikou et la sorcière (african tale)
Avril et le monde truqué (cyberpunk)
Persepolis (franco iranian, very good)
Waltz with Bashir (about war in palestine, PTSD and memory loss)
These are all try-hard, artfag shit
fuck yes.
Strange, but amazing.
btw, was it paedophilia?
t. american
no, but what do you mean?
Momo (2001)
woof, hope your days get better friend
>Market saturation = merit!
This is one of the more baffling hits of a decade full of baffling hits. I always assume that the author used to do odd stuff to rabbits. Odd sexual stuff. Maybe they were dead and he jacked off onto them.
That's a terrible book. It doesn't work as an allegory unless you view working-class people as subhuman.
So basically, you have one animated film that isn't a PC chore-watch?
Nobody's going to play these if you don't say anything about them.
Moomin
this beautiful thing

Song of the sea is great but sometimes I think that the Secret of Kells was even better. Gotta love the way the screens are composed there.
there are several threads discussing capeshit, maybe that's more your taste?
Nu pogodi
This.
>cartoon for kids
>the wolf smokes cigarettes and shit
I remember watching this as a kid, it's basically bootleg Tom and Jerry although we had Tom and Jerry too
Bretty gud show
Nu pogodi has better characters and more varied situations. only thing I can recall tom and jerry doing outside the house is when they went to the beach.
youtube.com
Tom and jerry had a couple other outside episodes, I remember a scene or two in a construction yard, and an outdoor nighttime one where Tom allies with a stray cat. It's been ages since I've watched either show though.
Another big difference was that the wolf could talk. I don't remember if the rabbit could too but "nu pogodi" is like the wolf's catchphrase if I remember correctly.
yes, in nu pogodi they are more anthropomorphic. I think the bunny can talk but just does not talk much. youtu.be

rock and rule was a lot less sexual and exiting than I had hoped
The queen herself is brilliant. Too bad the sound quality and the dub actors are awful.

(I know this is an American cartoon, but Mexicans love it so much they already did 2 movies, one 3D animated and one mixed between traditional animation and 3D )
Some of it is dated but the main theme, that revolting against a leader only allows another leader to rise and take their place, is pretty allegorical.
if u like dogs do urself a favor and dont watch it
Rock & Rule
from Canada
Another gem, Panique au village.
You are so brainwashed by porn you see any naked boy as a product to consume
Straight shotacon is fucking ace
Pleb opinions for 400
England counts as not part of USA right?
The Moomin shows were animated in Japan though
What? That doesn't make sense. If something's an allegory of a situation, it doesn't stop being one when the situation is no longer current. The allegory fails because most readers don't share Orwell's contempt for working-class people, and because you need to have it explained to you before you get what it's supposed to be an allegory of. "Resistance is futile" is a garbage message.
Good
i was actually referring to the fact, that the witch ends up marrying kiriku. Sure he transforms into an adult, but still
LITERALLY kino
youtube.com
>he never watched Wakfu
Rock & Rule, CBC cut is Canada's. Devil & Daniel Mouse and The Christmas Racoons also ok. Otherwise its pretty grim for animation here.. shit work like The Amazing Spiderman because production was cheaper in Toronto than NY.
you also should include THE PLAGUE DOGS
enjoy your service in beautiful Qatar or North Korea. Im sure itll be awesome for you draftees.
>Snow Queen is the best thing from Russia.
Wrong

advanced Swedish animation

and the rich have NEVER viewed the poors as subhuman.. kys.
What point do you think you're making? What use to anyone BUT the rich is an allegory portrays the rich as human and the poor as livestock?
mm. no way orwell was disgusted by his people. kys plebcore.
THICC
Bit of a stretch but my dad brought back this french animated film when I was a kid thinking it'd be fine until there was a scene with a woman naked in a bath tits out and all on a train at which point my mother made me turn it off and I never saw it again.
Anyway my question is does that sound familiar to anyone and if so what's it called?
>in a bath
>on a train
make up your mind for fucks sake, which was it?
Are serbians doing movies now?
*googles Serbian Film*
