Sup Forums, lets talk Sweden. In an effort to raise awareness, I'm taking this oppurtunity to school you in current events in Sweden because honestly, I'm tired of being called a cuck because of my flag. I'm a proud Swede, fuck me, right?
Sweden does not want any more refugees or migrants. The politics that have been going on for the last decade or so are deeply unpopular. This law inclused based shit like 1 year temporary asylum residence only, no family-immigration unless you have a steady job aswell as a self-owned home that can fit your whole family (a practical impossibility with the severe housing deficit we have), and big reduction in gibs have also been announced. This law came into effect in July, and is retroactive so that those who came during the autumn invasion of Europe will be able to get sent the fuck back as soon as their mandatory year is up. And this is only the half that are deemed to have asylum reasons. The other half, estimated to be about 55% even with ultraliberals giving the yay/nay, are to be deported as soon as authorities are able. To be able to take care of all the deportations, which our Minister of Interior Anders Ygeman have said will be atleast 80 000 from those who got turned down alone (excluding those already in the system), Police and Migrationsverket will be reinforced with half a billion crowns, and all opposition parties want to go much further.
That brings me to the next topic, the political situation in general. In the last election, 2014, the previous centre government, which had betrayed the People and their own voters by opening the borders were ousted. For both major parties, S and M, it was among the worst elections they'd ever had in many years, and PM Reinfeldt resigned. It saw SD rising to a position of kingmakers in our Riksdag, and they were hellbent (Jimmy Åkessons instructions were literally GIVE THEM HELL!) to force through change in immigration policy. Ergo, when the Riksdag were to vote on the weak minority government of S+MP, SD voted against the budget in violation of 'unwritten rules' and led us to a governmental breakdown. Sure enough, many Swedes celebrated and cheered when Löfven held a pressconference and announced his intentions to formally request re-election. However, sneaky fucking (((shenanigans))) saved them. A few days before the deadline to formally request reelections was to go out, the largest parties gathered and formed what was called Decemberöverenskommelsen or the December Agreement, where SD would be pushed away from influence at whatever cost necessary, and the Opposition gave formal support to their lifelong enemies, the Red Greens. This dirty betrayal of their voters caused an uproar in their ranks, and it was not long before grassroots voted against it at their partyconvention, thus making the deal crumble again. However, it still saved the Red Greens, and they're in power now.

Some "political renewal" in Alliansen later to try to save face for their utter failure and we have now a non-socialist majority in our Riksdag that come 2018 and our new elections, will rape them up and down. This non-socialist majority is currently doing their best to one-up eachother in a race to the bottom to draw anti-immigration voters. They've figured, we cant beat SD by marginalizing them, we have to adopt their policies and thus make it less attractive to vote SD.

Theres the Red-Greens, Alliansen, a coalition of 4 centre and right-of center parties and SD. Looking at non-fudged polls, SD currently has 23-25%, the RGs have 33-35% (THE GOVERNMENT!) and the Blues have 39-41%. SD has made it very clear that they're not going to allow any government that does not tighten immigration, i.e. dances to their tune, so theres really no way that any government is going to form that isnt just more based than whats going on right now.

There's been calls for a comprehensive look-through of all granted residenceships here, where they thoroughly go through the asylum request again and see with new data from Europe and so on try to make sure that everyone who got residence did so under correct pretenses. Considering that the number of those who are actually refugees are relatively low among the whole migrat population, this could be a route to kick those with current legal residence out.

Actually, no, I looked it up. A referendum can only take place if the parliament has voted in favor of changing the constitution once already, and the result of the referendum is only binding if people vote against the change. If people were to vote in favor of changing the constitution, it would only be considered advisory, and the second parliamentary vote after a general election is still required.
