Looking for the right word

Okay English vocabulary experts. I've been looking for this word which I forgot but the meaning is carved on my head. It's "Dismembered body parts". Anybody know what's the word for it?

Amputated

Maybe you're thinking of Spanish. The word "descuartizamiento" and related terms kind of capture this. Unless you mean something REALLY obscure and literary like "reliquiæ."

food

...

Minced?

That's not it lol, the word isn't that widely used. I meant like the body part itself, the severed/amputated.

Hmm that's not it. Thanks for the knowledge though.

Mince is more of a cooking term isn't it? And no that's not it.

Limb?

No, limb is more of an arm or leg.

diasticulated? excised?

You mean disarticulate? It's more of a separated bone. Not sure about excise. Also as I remember correctly, the word isn't a nominalisation of a verb but rather, just a noun.

Oh, you mean "giblets," don't you? That literally refers to the edible organs of a bird, but people use it in online games to mean body parts of dead characters.

Was just gonna say this.

No it's not, it's frustrating really but I'm 100% sure I know the word is right when I see it. When you Google it you'll see some dead guy lost his arm, a female corpse and the rest are just nonsensical stuff about video games dismemberment system and so on.

Pulverised?
Incision?

Certainly not pulverised, as I said it's not a nominalised verb. And incision is a cut to the flesh.

And also before anybody answered "mutilated" no it's not.

The word is as obscure as the word "cadaver", "frivolous", et cetera. Which means that it's very rarely used but it has been used.

?

Disembowled?

Yes I have tried to Google everything I know. Why do you think I'm here for? I'm desperate.

Severed?

Lopped off?

Disembowled is basically an open gut, so no.

severed

Is this word strictly a noun or can it be used as a verb as well?

Disembodied or mutilated?

MANGLED

>as obscure as the word "cadaver"
I think even 4chin would have found it out by now if that was the case,

Haha I literally posted a reply with severed up there.

It's a 1 word

I believe strictly verb

Perhaps. But then again none of the answers are correct.

Don't you mean noun? If not, discerp or dislimb maybe?

Oh yeah noun. Sorry a bit drowsy.

entrails

バラバラの実?

maim

Again people it's the noun used for the severed body part itself. Man even the natives have no idea. I found this word in a forum I browsed a year ago and ploughing trough my history didn't help either. But thanks all for the answers. You guys are cool, not really what I was expecting from this board.

Sadly none of those

No

カロ

Nope

Extremity?

Entrails?

truncated?

Truncate is a common term so I would have known if that's the word.

Not quiet

Also no

Viscera?

Also just keeping the tradition alive, n8 dubs

Nooo, kinda funny when you google image it though.

Haha man I forgot about that wrestler.

You sure it's an English word? You're not thinking of gibs are you?

I'm confident to say that I'm sure lol. I speak and chat with English more that any language I know, even my native so I wouldn't get mingled somehow. Put it simply I have passion for it.

Fair enough mate. You're more verbose than I am, that's for sure. Sorry I couldn't help.

Sure mate, you're the sort of bloke I'd love to get a pint or two around the boozer with. Cheers.

Extirpated?

Sorry that's not it.

well obviously ids gore :DDDD

gib

Shit, this and that frustrate me. Mere word has brought me affliction. Prescribe me dogtor.

Nooo

Has debris been suggested?

Has Marutei Tsurunen been mentioned?

> Tsurunen served as a representative of the Democrats in the House of Lords of Japan in 2002-2013 as her first Western-born member.

It's a hell of a hell of a thing when you think about how dubious Japanese are foreigners. Sure Finland is a kind of exception, the older population knows and values Mannerheim and the Finns.

Apparently, he is a conservative politician and so do you like it

Gibs.

Sadly no but it has now

Not quiet but that's not what I'm looking for

flayed

It's not gibbbss

Flay is skin peeling no?

yes.
Mayhem

mutilation?

Lop?

No that's too common.

The word has got more that 1 syllables.

>I meant like the body part itself, the severed/amputated.
the torso?

Vivisect

I think he means the parts not inegrated to a torso anymore.

No, just any body parts really. The big clue is when you Google image the word, scroll down a bit, and you find a guy lying on the pavement with no left arm and with earbuds on, then that's the right word.

Avulsion

Certainly not.

Morcel ?

Isn't that a bit counter-intuitive if the dismembered limb is not in the picture, but the body of which the limb is dismembered from is pictured? Are you exaclty sure the concept you are after is that of "dismembered limb(s)"

No that's a bit repugnant if you Google image it. There's only a moderate amount of gore if you Google image the word I'm looking for.

The definition said so and yes I am aware of such "unrelated" imagery being displayed in the search result. There's even a corpse image. Sure do there are also lots of irrelevant imageries. It looks like the word itself isn't that widely know and therefore flawed the search results.

I have come to the conclusion that the word does not exist.

Do you remember anything from the definition, was it medical related?

Surprisingly no

I've learned like 20 new words from this thread

Well I want to believe that myself but no. Believe me or not I've been looking for the word for at least 4 months. I just can't give up. It came to me when I saw that rekt thread on Sup Forums and that reminded me of the guy with no left arm. Alas, from there it's a roller coaster with no brakes.

It's not strictly medical. To be completely honest it's just a word. Nothing special.

Search the thread in an archive.

Good for you I guess? Haha

My benis :-DD

You must have misunderstand me, the rekt thread reminded me of the guy and then the word.

Not specific to body parts, but segment maybe?

You'll have to draw your conclusions. With your limited grasp of the English language, and a 4 month search, plus several nationalities here having no luck as well, don't you think you could simply be wrong?

Guts is sometimes used this way.

extremity trauma
lacerated limb
carbuncle
blemish
disfigurement
disformity

Starting to think that you're remembering the definition wrong

>it has to exist because my vague ESL memories tell me so

Fragment?

Silver?

Smithereens?

there are no other words for what he means
he has to choose now

cock :D

Sorry, sliver

flinders

Ehh, really if you think so. You know it's like finding that salacious porn that made you cum quick and you forgot to leave the trace of it. To me, every words that I have forgotten are like that so that's why I always take a note on every new vocabulary I learned. At that time I was a bit, you know? Foolish. I deeply remember that image and the definition that came with the word but sadly not the word itself.

I'm sorry if my question is an utter nonsense and rubbish to you. But I don't force anybody to keep with my human qualities. For I have no mean to displease. Also it wasn't brain damaged vague, I know remember anything but the word and the exact date ofc.

Thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it. It's better for me to go back and be a thesaurus bitch again. I'll update when I found the word if thread isn't archived. It's a pleasuee talking with Sup Forums

Are you thinking of autopsy/obduction? It's not literally what you're asking for, but I guess your brain is associating the words wrongly.

Carcass?
Cadaver?
