I'm a big fan of stories like these where several of the characters grow closer together to the point where they feel comfortable to be naked in front of each other without any fuss. I think it's the sort of unique feel this show has with regards to authorities yknow in the 90s it was all HAHAHA KIDS RULE ADULTS ARE SO LAME this show is about teenagers, they basically are or could be adults. their parents are lame but they're also nice, they don't really try to interfere much. they give everyone a LOT of free rein to run around and be themselves. The Diazes fucking deliberately and repeatedly invite new kids to stay in the conjoined room with their son. Star's parents were eager to dump her off somewhere else and let her have random-ass adventures with people in another dimension. The school faculty is just like "oh. magic and monsters. uhhh whatever, as long as you have money" teacher gets turned into a troll? she digs it. there's absolutely no sense of "the fun is going to stop now because some authority figure says so". it's as if you woke up someday and there were no nudity laws and if it was hot out you could do whatever the goddamn hell you want.
