Just got done watching Anomalisa. It was very good. Animation was superb.

I honestly can't think of many that are animus. Secret of Kells? Uh... Henry Selleck films? Studio laika? Fritz the cat?
Can't think of many that are NOT animus.
That's the one thing I hate/love about Sup Forums, the inability to go back and fix a poat.
Waltz with Bashir
Waking life
I think this thread can be a bit of an exception user. Specially if that means introducing people to good movies.
youtu.be
im not even joking, i think this is beautiful
Fantastic Mr. Fox was pretty good
does this count?
Yes, It's definitely arthouse material.
This this this.
Persepolis
Georges Schwizgebel's L'Homme sans ombre is fucking great
>animated
>oscar bait
I wish I lived in the world you live in.
Still have yet to see OP but it's high on my list. It's Such A Beautiful Day is one of the best films I've seen, I love all of Don Hertzfeldts shorts as well. Mary and Max is great too.
Waltz with Bashir
The Congress

If you like Fleischer cartoons, then this has some of the best modern interpretations of that style
Chico and Rita
It was okay. A well animated movie about a self absorbed asshole.
Strange Planet
damn that looks really cool
or The Illusionist
Mary & Max
>The Illusionist
You my friend are my bother now.
Top-notch animation, such a shame the script is shit
I watched this movie the day after my ex dumped me
It broke my heart but it was a very good movie
The Illusionist is by far my favorite
Also, this guy is on point. If the movie isn't mainstream or for kids, it will never win an Oscar. Oscar nominations for best animated film tend to be voted on what the voter took their kids to see if even that.
This and Persepolis are my favs
