Tell me Sup Forums, what do you think is the dividing line between the middle class and the upper class?
Not being risk averse as fuck
where they go on vacations
$250K
I don't believe in a class system, you either are intelligent or you aren't a person.
Wait are we talking about traits of the middle class vs upper class or what defines them wealth wise?
upper class is a social group, usually if you have millions of dollars you would be in this social group
middle class are just regular salary earners
Upper-class is a mindset. If you call yourself upper-class, you are probably rich enough to not care what other people think, are probably surrounded by fellow plutocrats, and most likely engage in overly materialistic upper-class activities.
If the stories about Warren Buffet's spending habits are anything close to true, he would be essentially middle class in my book
...
Most people think they’re middle class because they “own” a house and live in the suburbs. This simply isn’t the case, they’ve been lied to their whole lives because one who thinks of themselves as middle class has less of a reason to demand change.
Fuck them both.
What is the middle class then
Doctors, engineers, lawyers etc, only what you think of as upper middle class is actually middle class.
you clearly don't fall in the former with such a vague and arbitrary "metric"
How did you conclude that? Are you a neet by any chance?
Upper-class are people living in cities.
Low-class are farmers.
Middle are those who live in suburbs, useless bastards with no place in this world.
this
There it is. The unintelligent, smug, cancerous reply I expected out of (You). Go LARP somewhere else.
I asked how you came to that conclusion because it's retarded. The middle class is making $300k a year as a doctor? What?
>you are retarded because I say so
Instantly dropped. Not replying to (You) anymore.
You dropped it even before that when I asked you to explain what you meant
Most doctors dont make 300k, unless they're specialists. And he's right. I grew up as upper middle class and my mom is a doctor and my dad is a commercial real estate broker.
We're well off, but not anywhere near rich.
The average gross pay for a doctor sits at $339,000. Keep in mind, the amount varies based on doctors' specialties though: family physicians makeabout $271,000while medical specialists make about$338,000and surgical specialists earn$446,000. Their salaries are “virtually unchanged,” CIHI noted.
I guess this article must be lying then. globalnews.ca
middle class work for money
money works for the upper class
This
Upper class are generally well-educated (usually elite private universities and often post-graduate degrees), cosmopolitan, urban (or rural gentry), usually philanthropic/civic minded, and culturally and politically powerful without necessarily being wealthy.
Everybody else is pretending. Most middle class Americans outside the Northeast have a serious bourgeois gentilhomme complex
Yes, it is lying.
Most general practitioners make 150k-200k. Your statistic is skewed, even as you said, when you take into account specialists like cardiologists who can make 500k a year.
Yeah, that article isn't exactly as truthful as it would lead you to believe.
middle class - live off job
upper class - live off investments
Oh well I hate globalnews now
Middle class aren't evil parasites
>Yanks implying they have a class system
Get on our level
Upper class can walk into a restaurant or hotel and be recognized immediately. They can also walk into banks and the manager will greet them personally. Next time you go to these places, just sit and watch people. You might spot them.
The moment your own money makes money and you never have to lift a finger to work for a living again. This should be around $3-5 million dollars where your investment returns/interest pays you more than what most people make in a year.
Conscious wickedness and soulless wickedness.
