Frost had nothing to do with FWWM, and it was all written by Lynch. Obviously he wanted the scenes but they were cut due to time constraints. The theatrical cut is already 2.5 hours long

This season was originally planned as 9 episodes right? But after the negotiations and the deal was made, it doubled the amount. Is this why we're getting all these drawn out scenes? Was this something Lynch wanted or it was forced by the studio execs in exchange for the budget Lynch wanted?
