Get off my back, OP!

That poor Peter weller dude in the movie

>served on a war torn shithole for 10+ years
>goes on a mission and meets a hobo kid that gets blasted in front of him turning out to be a robot
>turns out all his friends are dead
>that rookie soldier that was his buddy dying in a gruesome way in front of his eyes
>the woman he fell in love with turns out the be a robot and dies
>flys all the way back to earth to die at the reentry (that was confirmed in the 09 sequel)

Dude found out what REAL suffering is like

...

watched it as a young lad and it was great, really made me think

>>flys all the way back to earth to die at the reentry (that was confirmed in the 09 sequel)

so a robot kid wasn't on board waiting to kill him? That's actually good news.

It made me very sad how things turned out for him.

For a moment it looked like they would both survive this and then suddenly his new found love dies in his arms.

How much can a man take before he breaks?

That wasn't mentioned, only that there was only 1 survivor who died in the reentry.

Lathe of heaven
The final cut

The real good shit is from Yurop.

deathmachine

I feel like it's not obscure at all but it's just been forgotten. Which is really a shame.

this

how can you not love ferraris and aliens

I was let down by this movie. The production design is fantastic, but I don't get the soviet humor so it was an effort to finish it.

...

This was so terrible and predictable.
I have no idea why people praised it so much back then.

I loved it.
Apparently there was supposed to be an animated remake of it, but I never heard what came of it.

Scanners

Class humor, nothing much to understand than KU and surrealist situations. This is the greatest.

I think they made it. But I didn't watch it, Kin-Dza-Dza is plenty enough.

It was censored quite a bit.
Like how the wine they drink was changed to vinigar due to prohibition.

Probably one of the most clever remakes ever made.
